Players who might improve us

This is just Anderson.

Rodri/Nico G
Anderson/Lewis/Nico OR
Foden/Tijjani/Cherki

Currently its

Rodri/Nico G
Bernie/Kovacic/Lewis (Nico OR only really playing there at the end of games when we have been bringing Ake on, hasn't started there yet this season unlike Lewis)
Foden/Tijjani/Cherki

A few clubs now sniffing around Smit including the vermin
Hopefully we are also showing our interest to the player and his club. Like you I am convinced he will become a top player. If he doesn’t transfer in January to a new club he will definitely transfer this forthcoming Summer. Newcastle, Palace, United and Madrid linked with Smit.

He will be word class imo mate, has it now let alone if he can grow under a better manager in better facilities and a better squad? Extremely KDB like

You can call me crazy but I think we desperately need a new DM in the January transfer window.

Love Rodri but I think we need to plan for Rodri being the Stones successor.. (15 games a season if that from now on and proceed accordingly.. )

We risk way too much if Nico G goes down injured (and you just know Arsenal will target him like they did Rodri).

And don't forget it's not just them.. it's the whole league. For example Newcastle kicked the shit out of us but played all soft vs the rags today which makes you go how the hell did we lose to that bunch?? All the fouls on Haaland.. none get called.. etc

I don't have the solution.. but I can definitely see a problem. We need another DM.
While I do agree, think there is no chance we bring in a DM

Its clearly an important position for us, hence the big money move for Anderson has the most steam, so I cant see us doing that in January and a shirt term fix does F all for us

Nico has the DM spot down, and Rodri is now "back" in the picture. Also supporting them are Bernardo, Stones, NOR, Nunes, Lewis, Kovacic from March and God forbid its its REALLY bad we do still have Phillips.

I just cant see us doing soemthing unless Nico G gets injured in this window

Roger Ibanez a Brazilian CB formerly of Atalanta and Roma. Currently plays in the Saudi Pro League for Al—Ahli with Mahrez. Has been a regular 90 min player in his 3 seasons and can be picked up for around £22m. Is in his prime having just turned 27 last month. Has superb vision with his passing and very capable of bringing the ball out of defence and transitioning to attack. Great in the air and has great speed for a CB.

If we were to sign him to replace Ake should he leave in January or summer he would be the same age we acquired Akanji and would give us experience at the back in a young team.

So he effectively retired as a competitive footballer three years ago
Do me a fucking favour

I agree with many of the posters on here (and as it seems, the club) that Guéhi, Anderson and Semenyo would be an ideal trio of players to supplement the squad we currently have (despite having some reservations over Semenyo).

That said, here are 11 players I think we should keep an eye on if we find ourselves with a need for a player in their positions, as I think these players are ready to explode over the next year or 2:

Noah Atubolu, 23, GK, Freiburg
Givairo Read, 19, RB, Feyenoord
Yann Aurel Bisseck, 25, CB, Inter Milan
Ryan Flamingo, 22, CB, PSV Eindhoven
Diego Moreira, 21, LB/LW, Strasbourg
Anton Stach, 27, DM, Leeds United
Jack Rudoni, 24, CM/AM, Coventry City
Kees Smit, 19, AM, AZ Alkmaar
Maghnes Akliouche, 23, RW/AM, Monaco
Ruan Pablo, 17, LW, Bahia
Georges Mikautadze, 25, ST, Villarreal

with special attention paid to Givairo Read and Kees Smit, who I think will be superstars.

Won't mind if we looked at these could save us a lot of money and boost the squad depth

Tarik muharemovic, 22, CB, sassuolo
Mamadou sangare, 23, DM/CM, lens
Hayden hackney, 23 , CM, Middlesbrough

Yeah he's still knocking about. I'm sure they'll be looking at a Jan move for him. Same for Ortega.
With Phillips never understood how baldy he fell from his lofty heights. I suppose the contract he signed with his has taken his love for the game away and replaced any hunger with irrelevance. This does not happen to a top pro.

We've seen plenty of flash in the pan players that were amazing for a season or two and then disappeared overnight.

Infact more of them than ones that made out a career for 10 years+ which is why Messi stands out. He was able to maintain that brilliance even though not his peak of 100+ goals a season!
