Enzo Maresca "high among candidates" to replace Guardiola if he leaves next summer

I'd like to see some proof that teams get a new manager boost. Seems to be a cliche that has somehow become fact.

Someone posted last night that 30% of games are won in the first game after a manager has been changed.

The new manager bounce only really happens if the squad has downed tools on the previous manager. There’s no sign of that with this Chelsea squad.

Gave up on his current team didn’t he easily in October ?
Not sure how that attitude is appreciated

Should have focused on Chelsea especially when city job still wasn’t available

I find it interesting that we were talking to him in both October and December, forget the Chelsea side of things as don’t give a shit about them, but wonder why we felt the need to be having two sets of discussions with any person about our managerial position at that stage?

True, but something similar didn’t stop City from getting Pep from Bayern and pissing Bayern off.

I honest believe Kompany would jump at the chance to manage City when Pep goes back to Barcelona.

Kompany is City through and through.
To quote Howard Kendall, Bayern is a love affair, City is a marriage !

Are Chelsea's operations since the departure of Abramovitch supposedly under investigation by the PL ?

Edit - just realised it is charges by the FA not PL.

Seems like they are able to operate without incurring any infringements of PSR or whatever bullshit.

Not commenting on Maresco as a potential manager, because he's just another in their chaotic and revolving door approach to football.

But another Yank-owned club which appears to escape the PL scrutiny ( see edit above )

Maybe we were just talking to him about new curtains or something?
Seems more likely than sounding him out to manage us. More fucking chance of me taking over from Pep.
