The unqualified staff doing the junior job of checking comments at BBC online appear to have no knowledge of media law. They routinely allow libellous comments to remain on the site, especially those which disparage City or their Directors. They are the publisher of the content so it is all their responsibility. Unfortunately, getting on the Honour's List doesn't guarantee that person is an upright and sound citizen, deserving of such a honour.
Rolf Harris received 3 such awards (CBE, MBE, OBE), with Jimmy Saville getting both Royal & Prime Ministerial endorsements.
Levy seemed an absolute lizard, but did a good job for Spurs with the new ground...

Thought I'd wake to wall to wall media headlines of how brilliant Sunderland are one of the best teams in Europe and that their manager is being lined up by the rags after listening to that commentary last night.

Anyone but us seems to be the media's take on the Premier league this season but 4 points is fuck all at the halfway point and that's what has them worried

Yes, bet Sunderland fans are fuming about the media coverage of last night's match.
Sunderland showed that promoted teams are not necessarily going to be automatically relegated, as many predicted.
They showed superb organisation and team spirit, with a dangerous counter-attack.
To be in 7th position at the half-way stage of the season, is a great achievement...

Kevin Sinfield, together with Rob Burrow are sportsmen that you can only greatly admire.
After their superb playing careers, they have both been brave in highlighting a problem that had previously been under publicised.
But, have heard that Kevin Sinfield, for some technical reason, was not eligible for a knighthood in 2025 ?

Not allowed to upgrade an honour until 3yrs have elapsed so should be eligible next new year for a KBE.

Just compare the two - the selfless and heroic efforts of Sinfield in relation to his close friend Rob Burrow with those of the self serving Career of Beckham who’s never knowingly done anything unless it benefits him.
