Lots of games in a short period, they are allowed to be knackered and I wont be getting on their backs over it. One of those things

Okay, will doKeep your (pubic) hair on.
We were pretty much in control of the game but lost both centre halves to injury, which would impact any team. We also have a not fully fit Rodri having to play the full 90 mins. We played OK, but haven't been quite firing in the last few games. We are still a bit wasteful in front of goal and it cost us today.
We could do with bringing a couple more in this window, but I'm not sure if it's on the cards. If Rodders gets injured again and we have no Nico, we are screwed.
Nobody should blame the players for being knackered, as it's been a tough schedule, recently.Lots of games in a short period, theybare allowed to be knackered and I wont be getting on their backs over it. One of those things
Exactly. 10 men behind the ball immediately squeezes the amount of space available. If we are under the cosh we've got to adopt less naive tactics in the final 6 mins.We seem to do odd things as a team, desperate for a goal in first half, play slow as shit getting the ball up the pitch, we go on to score eventually but then second half, we look lost and tired out, then with a makeshift defence decide to keep pushing up the pitch with 5 minutes to go, just shut up shop ffs. We have a team of fucking idiots at times.
We need to bring a few CBs back off loans, push the boat out for Anderson & another strong young midfielder, and a young striker. You're right about us needing more midfielders.

I’m concerned with Khis because he isn’t playing enough even when the starting CBs look knackered. Not talking about 15 min here and there. Reis again is on loan for a reason. If pep thought he was ready, he would not be loaned. Again why buy? Same with this Juma fella. How can you pass judgement on Khus he's hardly played. As for Reis he's out on loan You should be more concerned about Dias as increasingly he looks more suited to Wrestle Mania
That's a good post mate. Lewis would have been ideal as he's more of a defensive/ utility type player and would have had loads of energy especially in the last 6 minsWe were getting overrun in the last 20 minutes’ of Attack vs Defence and the team was crying out for an extra body in midfield.
Looking at the bench, we should have swapped Cherki for Lewis and told him not to wander away from the middle of the park or go into the Chelsea half!
4-5-1 with Doku tucking in on the left, and an outlet when we had the ball!
Only 3 subs used with players dead on their feet?!
If there are players on the bench that are not fit to wear the shirt, then we shouldn’t kid them into thinking they are.
Always been my criticism of him. He's the first to moan about the schedule and the impact on the players, but usually makes subs on 80 minutes as most of the ground gets up to leaveNobody should blame the players for being knackered, as it's been a tough schedule, recently.
But, in my opinion, Pep's one area where he is out of sync with current Premier League football, is his reluctance to use his substitutes.
Once again, only 3 used, with one of them being very late.
To play Rodri for 96 minutes is very, very risky.
Pep should have subbed him as another tough game on Wednesday.
Don't know the stats, but I'm sure City must have one of the least number of substitutes used ? Also the amount of minutes played by the subs, seems lower than most teams ?
Well that's true too.We can't seem to pass our way out of trouble like we used to!
My issue is with the defenders bought last season. The whole point was to use them in these types of difficult periods. Nowhere to be seen. Only for OReilly and nunes we would be in a proper fucked up situation(midfielders) after spending a fortune on young cbs. The transfer decisions have been, not working but certainly not the solution. We didn’t know that then or maybe we did. Pep didn’t want inexperienced cbs. He said as much, Soriano pushed for youth. It was not the way. Again, we Did know that stones and Ake were both crocked and we again took the chance that they could play some games. Mistake after mistake, understandable but still a recruitment mistake. Buying “could” turn into class instead of class is hit and miss. Donna, we bought class and it shows every match. Need the same for defence now and the wing.Lots of games in a short period, they are allowed to be knackered and I wont be getting on their backs over it. One of those things
Well Pep picked the bench too.I agree hes been below par but who's on the bench to replace him ?
Agreed, have him and Phil been out on the sauce together over the festive period?Cherki was no better either - he doesnt deserve a pass if we are calling players out
Guess he could have replaced Heskey with Kalvin, if he’s fit.Well Pep picked the bench too.
Well that's true too.
But surely there's got to be a better tactic used in the last 6 minutes? We just need to survive .

I just did :-)About that, ask Pep.. he's the manager!
