Exeter City (H) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Probably a bit of psychology - get them on the pitch to have played a small part in a WINNING team.
I get that BK, but the amount of games been played and on the horizon,I'd of thought rest would of been more 'psychological' going forward. But we'll never ever know the true mindset of this genius we have in charge.

I am in Seville so cat get the match of the day highlights on my phone, well done City I couldn’t believe that score when I logged in at 9-0 !

They owe me.

I was on a Tyro team football tour of Devon in '76 and we had the chance to watch either Torquay v Cambridge, or Exeter against Scunthorpe.

We chose the 0-0 at Torquay, missing a 5-4 thriller at St James's Park. I've never forgiven them.

9-0 and I'll call it quits...
Well I'll be buggered :-)

Harsh bumming for Exeter but superb goal from their lad.

Enjoyed the yutes, particularly Macaidoo showing the likes of Macatee and Bobb how to take an opportunity by the scruff of the neck and make an impression.

Cracking debut from Semenyo. Goal and assist but I particularly enjoyed his movement from the wing inside into naughty positions edge of box. Something we never saw Grealish do and something Savinho and Bobb never do. Something different for the opposition to think about.

Another lower league side at home next round please.

My Dad passed last June. I sent a Whatsapp to my closest friend, who isn't even a football fan at at all, about this game today. The first time I've ever spoken to her about football probably. Seems silly to say it but this result really got to me today to tell you the truth!

Class post. Class poster. Class dad. Class friend.

Fucking class.

It’s not the same though.

If we were both in the lower leagues and you got the opportunity to watch your rivals get hammered and a PL giant round the corner for a tenner, it’d be a different choice.
Not for me, I certainly wouldn't waste money on doing it, I don't even do it for free on TV. I don't watch a lot of football these days, and I've no interest in watching any of our rivals.

I watched Macc today, enjoyed that, and City, I watched the Wrexham game too, as I have a personal interest at Wrexham, even though he's not currently fit to play.

Fair enough. I enjoy going to other grounds and experiencing the atmospheres they create. It’s a no stress game where you can sit back and enjoy others’ meltdowns, whilst enjoying a game of football.
