Seat Counters 25/26

That’s not conclusive proof at all. Most of the people are stood up and therefore you can’t see the empty seats.

I was at the game mate. I could see with my own eyes rows of empty seats. Why would I or others who attended make that up?

It wasn’t half time or when the match started either. Lots of blues actually missed out on attending this match
Of course there were empties mate but it was a very big crowd and a fantastic win. There were cheap tickets for families to buy from City up to a few days before the game and there were also tickets closer to the game on the Face Value pages / forums. Several Blues gave away tickets on here.

Have you got suggestions for reducing the number of no shows cos it’s not like Agencies would have queued up for tickets vs Exeter. The row(s) of empty seats are in part of the ground where City invite school parties and / or save seats for junior ages group teams returning from games.

So how would you reduce the number of no shows? It won’t be many Agency tickets against Exeter.
Of course there are no shows, but are you telling me that 3 rows of fans/ 5 seats per row for example (you can’t usually buy that many tickets) all decided not to show up - that’s after paying what over £100 for tickets?

There were areas like this throughout the ground. It’s not just people not showing up.

There will always be no shows. Singles and doubles. But not rows of no shows unless a group of fans or coach party can’t make it. For example. A person running a coach load of school kids from Scotland decided not to travel because of the bad weather.

Watching the matches last night on Match Of The Day, there were plenty of empty seats at every PL ground that hosted a FA cup home match, not only at City.

If the match is stated as sold out on the OS, there shouldn’t be rows of empty seats. There will always be empty singles and double seats dotted around the ground.

It wasn’t just in the north stand though. If the club know schools aren’t taking up these tickets, put them on general sale earlier.

The two areas of the ground for schools, from what I can see are the corner/ middle part of the family stand and the top tier of the east stand

There will always be empty seats dotted around, but there shouldn’t have been that many yesterday, especially when people wanted to attend

I think some posters on here just seem to be struggling to understand, why blues aren’t happy with the empty seats.

Families and lots of blues who wanted to go, couldn’t because the game is ‘sold out’ to then see rows of empty seats. As had been said, it’s not just fans not attending, it’s all in concentrated areas of the ground.
Where are all these loads of Blues that couldn’t get tickets and why they didn’t take advantage of the freebies being offered on here??

It took a long time for the game to sell out and there were plenty of opportunities to buy tickets. I can understand Blues struggling who suddenly found they could make the game.

We know based on past experience that the number of no shows increases with cheap ticket prices. It’s also like that for the Women’s League. City priced this game right and the result was bumper crowd. No shows have their own reasons for not attending but I made sure half a dozen tickets were transferred to other members in my Supporters Club Branch

Is the correct answer. The OS showed the game as sold out from mid week. This surprised me tbh and when I got in the ground I wasn’t surprised to see quite a few blocks of say 30-50 seats in EL3 and in the North Stand empty. Hence anyone who saw the weather was decent and thought yeah why not, couldn’t get a ticket from the OS. I have never used these so called ticket partners and wouldn’t know where to start, I’m sure I’m not on my own. Bottom line, someone at the club isn’t doing their job or maybe they don’t care.

I think City need to look at the tickets they make available to school parties in the peak of winter and tickets they hold back for junior age group teams etc. it would also be interesting to know if there are tickets Going to staff they are going unused.

I thought you weren’t allowed to transfer freebies anymore (on BM) by the new ticket rules?

That’s another issue. Fans don’t know what they can and can’t do anymore as regards spare tickets because of the new tickets rules.

Nobody can blame the weather. In fact, the good weather would have been more of an incentive to buy a ticket and to go to the match if tickets were still available, but they weren’t, as the match was sold out on the OS.

People on the cup schemes can transfer tickets.

Yes, City were trying to hold the line that the 3 home cup games you get with 93:20 season cards and maybe Joe’s can’t be transferred. I think there’s a bit more flexibility this season

Whatever is going on, it clearly isn’t working, hasn’t been working for a long time, and is getting worse.

That said, it was a great attendance yesterday.

We have to give City credit for making adult, children, and family tickets cheap. Let’s hope City continue that for every home round of the FA Cup up to the quarter final, if City get that far?

OK. I wasn’t aware if that. I only thought ticket transfers applied to the 3 family and friends PL games. Thanks. I will bear that in mind in the future.

My biggest concern is when City review ticket issues, price increases usually follow. Let’s keep the Cup prices low, like you said.

I agree it was a great occasion like you say and we need more fixtures like this to try to grow the fanbase.

See that so what’s the answer! Coming on here pointed it out like a lot do is pretty pointless!

Funny 70/80/90’s as you will know there was empty season galore in a lot of games! Guess what no one gave a shit seems the media opposing fans have got to a lot of fans!

Some people are just completely in denial. There were hundreds of empty seats throughout the game in the bottom tier of the North Stand. Plenty in the top tier also. This for a game that was sold out.

One row alone is completely empty.

The actual conclusive proof.View attachment 179989
It wasn't full but, that shot is on 49 mins as Lewis is about to score.

Even against the rags/dips it'd look like that with people ambling back from the bars.

The other issue for me is that City could do with unbanning Blues who haven’t been convicted of any match going offence. That’s contributing to the empties.

I tried uploading a picture was too large for the site, any ideas how to reduce the size without making it a pointless exercise?

It happens at the cheap cup games, that was just after half time and loads of kids in queues with their parents still.

The tram will have been worse than ever too as twice as many as normal try to go on it.

I'll just point out that the video recently released of our 2011 cup run shows for a QF after having very little success that level 3 of the East Stand wasn't open.

Even with club actions of making it almost impossible to move tickets around and 'partner issues' we do really well. What does piss me off though those Partners would have known a few weeks ago that they weren't going to shift what they had and didn't return them to the club .
