The 9320/We Are The North Stand - A Supporter Section

Not a chance that that doesn't happen bud.

At 10pm on a Sunday? Probably not, however they have said that there'll be more info "early this year". Unless you're going to claim again that the club are lying.

Why would I claim the club are lying if they have promised that?

Did the club say when exactly?

A specific month?

Because the season ticket prices for next season will be out in a couple of months, which will include the NSL2, Flexi Gold, season tickets, as well as the prices for the NSL2 safe standing sections.

Unless there’s been a dramatic change in the season ticket and match day ticket prices for NSL2, which may still being discussed, Khaldoon, Soriano, Danny Wilson and the other directors would have signed the season ticket prices and the match day tickets prices off for the new NSL2 tier by now.

Just got back from watching Seville lose at home to Celta Vigo, the home fans never stopped singing all through the match, albeit with 2 drums and a fellow on a microphone,it was just a small section behind the goal and being an open air stadium it was loud from where I was sat to the side of the pitch. The football was poor quality and Seville never really looked like scoring, the section singing was probably less than 2 thousand fans yet they never stopped at all so it was a constant rhythmic sound going on in the background and made the atmosphere much better,I know a capo and some drums will never take off in Englands stadiums but I was very impressed with the noise made by such a small number of fans.
Being able to drink beer in the stadium probably helps too, biggest difference for me was the quality on the pitch - we are so lucky to watch City who are a million miles better than these 2 teams.Seville brought on Alexis Sanchez and Adnan Januzai - 2 ex Rags who improved their attacking output a little but these players are on a downward trajectory at the end of their careers.

I don't know if it was directly from the club (I think it was) or from an email to the affected ST holders on here but it said early this year with no specific date set. Obviously the affected NS tier 0 seats will get first choice for relocations (or not) but it can only be at the same time as the prices are released. Perhaps they'll be published earlier this year?

@jrb It was the communication from the club that mentioned updates https://www.mancity.com/news/club/man-city-north-stand-ticketing-and-experience-update-63896738

"Next Steps

All ticketing and stadium-related announcements will follow consultation with our elected fan network, City Matters. In early 2026, we will share more details about:

  • Pricing for the 2026/27 season - this will be in advance of Season Ticket Relocates, Renewals and new Season Tickets going on sale.
  • How to express interest in rail seating and new experiences.
  • The release of match-by-match tickets for any matches with the expanded section in operation this season.
We also look forward to sharing further exciting updates about our new museum, fan zone, hotel, and food and beverage spaces, all of which are due to open in late 2026."

This is all fine, and a good idea. It can’t be just a Bluemoon thing though there are thousands of fans that don’t do Bluemoon and many don’t do social media.

A petition to the club. Not an aggressive one. Probably needs to be Bluemoon initiated. Then signed by regular match going fans.
Perhaps @FootballSense could organise a group of four or so to coordinate.

I am off to Spain at weekend for a month or would volunteer-:)

"We need a home end"

Imo, it's needs to be new, not a South Stand relocation.

Last night again proved that we have amazing away fans. It proves that if we have all our vocal fans in one section, we can create an atmosphere

Its the setup of the stadium that causes the issues at home for the atmosphere

Imagine having a section like this in the North Stand behind the goal with all our vocal support there

Imagine facing a stand like this as a player. We may say that Germany is a one-team league, but they know how to create atmospheres at their grounds

We get a few thousand singers together we outsing St James Park.
We split them up we get outsung at home by Brentford and Burnley.

The other thing St James Park can teach you is partly why that is: when you are up on that top tier the sound is trapped in and echoes around. You also can't hear much going on below you. That's why the Exeter fans were signing "Is this a library" at literally the exact moment the south stand lower were having a great time singing the Balotelli song. Go and ask any West Ham fan too about the atmosphere in their new stadium with it's shallow camber, tiers and high roof.

If it aint broke don't fix it. If it is broke, at least try. I'll be in the new stand with my boys next season.

Arsenal's main singing section is in the North Bank, however they also have their little mob of goons at the end next to the away fans who bang their drum all game.
@EastMidlandsBlue

They are called the Ashburton Army, they been inspired by the Holmesdale Fantics, which is the Crystal Palace Supporters Section

Arsenal Emirates Stadium used to be called the library because it rubbish atmosphere, but over the last couple of years, the club and its fans have tried to change there atmposhere at their ground by introducing the Ashburton Army and trying to introduce an anthem to the ground "North London Forever" which there answer to YNWA

City could do the same, but we seem to be going in the opposite direction

DD apparently you put yourself down to move to south lower block 115 back in 2015.

When hundreds others went through with it you didn’t go through with it.

Why was that. There was an atmosphere section there for you.

Club are proposing 3 small separate sections high up in NSL2.

When you say I’ll be in the new stand next season which part of the new stand do you hope to be in and why would you have the motivation to move there when you didn’t have the motivation to move previously?

Genuine question

Atmosphere at German grounds is shit. Really boring and has nothing to do with the game. Been to Munich, Leipzig and Dortmund to watch City. The crowd had no bearing on the game.
The first sight of the yellow wall is impressive. After about 10 minutes it was as boring as fck.

What a weird post. No idea what you are talking about. I haven't moved or planned to move since the stadium opened for a very simple reason.

For what it's worth I'm planning to move to the back of the new stand with my mates and sons in a group of 5. The reason i'm moving there is because it finally gives us an opportunity to get season tickets together in an area that will suit us all, and also I believe that a new stand with only two tiers has the potential to be the voice and heart and soul of the stadium.

Absolute nonsense, the club have proposed no such thing.

Hi DD

Dante here coming in peace ! Actually, you did show an interest in moving to 115 you asked for the front of the block and confirmed your email address (recruitment agency) and all the supporters numbers / yours ending 13.

In those days the club were offering full season tickets too whereas now it will be no season tickets just a mix of matchday sales and flexis. So you would have got all season tickets together in that new area.

Anyway all the best

There is a Capo stand in England, this is Crystal Palace Holmesdale End

If you look around the rest of the UK, there are these types of fan groups everywhere, as I said above, Arsenal are going down this route now, inspired by the Homesdale Fantatics.

Bournemouth had drums at a game. You look at Scotland, every team has these types of fans

Hi Dante @wearethesouthstand

One of the fellow posters @Bert Swift posted this: Can you advise, as he was originally replying to JRB

Bert Swift

Atmosphere and the atmosphere group

It was a great result and very good performance last night, JRB.

You have asked for answers and invited me to fire away. Here are suggestions -

1.1894 take a long pause and take time to re-assess their current stance. Give careful thought to what is the best opportunity for improving the atmosphere.

2. Then, positively lead and encourage its members, to improve atmosphere and create a big home end on ONE level, by re-locating to the North Stand.

3. Positively encourage those in South Stand lower (level 0), Kippax Corner, South Stand Upper (level 3) and fans from other parts of the stadium, to establish themselves in the North Stand.

4. Promote this as a great opportunity to re-invigorate the membership and uplift the atmosphere. Pull together in the same direction.

5. Act as a conduit through City Matters to achieve the above.

Naturally some fans will want to remain where they are are for a variety of reasons. Change does not come naturally to many. However change can be the best action ever for many more.

You also mentioned the questions that had been raised and facts presented which many fans agree with.

Fundamental questions to 1894 are -
  1. how will the current stance to try and get a few more fans into South Stand lower (level ) make any real difference to the atmosphere?
  2. how will the inherent split between the SS lower, middle, and upper levels and Kippax corner together with the associated detrimental impact on great atmosphere creation, ever be overcome?
  3. how do you intend to overcome away fans normally dominating almost all cup games in City`s so called home end?
Prices
These will be announced by the club.
It is reasonable to work out that (1) the North Stand safe standing will be less than the South Stand lower (level 0) current prices; and (2) the North Stand safe standing will be no more than the current South Stand upper rear seats (rear level 3). Do you agree?

Displays / flags
There is scope for these still in the North Stand.

General Admission
9,200 approx. general admission / safe standing tickets is no more of mish mash than the current 3,000 safe standing in the SS lower ( level 0) whose profile is mixed.

Given the above and whilst waiting for further information from the club, why did someone think that it was good idea to adopt a premature position and produce questionnaire for a limited reach too early in the process?

No one gats it right all the time and that includes the club. However lets focus on what we can do as fans. I therefore go back to point 1 above and suggest that time is now taken to re-assess the current stance and give careful thought to what is the best opportunity for improving the atmosphere now and in the future.
