Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

Pg has been outstanding for us but he needs to call it a day end of the season .
Time for a new direction with new fresh ideas & a team set up in every department to be organised .
The team selection today was mental .
I didnt see the build up so thought it was due to injurys but seeing the players on the bench he could of chosen was mind blowing !
What is he thinking & seeing i just don't get it ?

Then decides to keep Ake on a HT and things get worse. What the fuck was said at HT. Nothing changes with either of our wingers against yellowed fullbacks and no further sense of urgency throughout was shown.
Pathetic delivery from set pieces to, undoing all the positives we have seen from them in the past 6 weeks.

He won’t answer fuck all. Will point to the team and tell them it’s a lesson without looking at himself. He’s already done it.
 
Pep said many, many times towards the end of last season and in the summer he wants fit players. Why did he agree with the club bosses to keep Stones and Ake after what happened last season? That's his biggest mistake in the summer. Should have demanded a proper replacement for Akanji.

Another mistake was to not play Khusanov when he could rotated Dias and Gvardiol with him. Let's hope Guehi can help us in the cups. The league seems gone unless Arsenal do something silly.
 
For all wanting him sacked now, do you really want to give United the satisfaction of giving us that thorough ass beating and getting our best ever manager sacked as a result of said ass beating?
 
There have been defeats, draws, and poor performances over the last 10 years, but the Leverkusen match and today's game are entirely his fault. He sabotaged himself with his starting eleven; he had enough players to field a competitive lineup, but he completely messed up.

The difference is that the points from the Leverkusen defeat were recoverable, and we managed to do so by beating Real Madrid, but today's points are gone forever.

Saying goodbye to the title race in January after such a humiliating derby defeat... what a shame!

I also think taking Max off instead of Ake was an insult to what had gone on in that half. The lad was left to dry by one of the worst pair of fullbacks I think I've ever seen at the top level. Yet Ake because of his past is left on to get even worse when he moved into the middle.

To also say we lost because of lack of energy is a little insulting to the fans - no matter who plays, any player should look at his opposite number and say I'm going to be better than you today - not one of them did that and that is a worry for some of the big CL games to come.

Good post but now reading it has pissed me off with pep even more . Legendary manager for us but this is not gong to get any better for us and I do think a change is needed .

No. We will end up in the circle they are in.

I guess it will be how they respond to today's non performance. Can go one of two ways, either this is the start of a slow slide or they get angry and really sort it out. I hope and expect it's the latter. Pep has earned a longer leash than anyone - quite rightly - but if we miss out on all trophies come season end a difficult conversation will need to happen.

Obviously, the underlying principles are always there from 2016. The idea has changed over the years, but ultimately a possession based style combined with verticality. Our problem is cohesion, balance and injuries hence, we don't see those relationships that bring out the style

My issue with Pep are his setup, recruitment and player selection. Team is massively hindered by defensive injuries. Not only for their leadership and personality on the team but also ability, which affects playing style

There’s a difference between the result and the performance. I think their intensity is the reason they won the game. It wasn’t the reason we failed to create a semi decent chance in 95 minutes though.

We refused to put the ball in the box or take on their wingers who were on early bookings.

IMO, our performance with the ball today was just as defensive as our performance off the ball at the Emirates earlier this season.
