Exactly and said so at the time could come back to haunt us especially after the robbery in Monaco The strange thing is it was so out of character as wellPep picked a fringe team against Leverkusen thinking it would be a stroll
Major fuck up which could quite easily cost us a place in the knock out phase and cost the club 50 to 100 million pounds in revenue
Who else do we have?Rodri was beyond poor and a pale shadow of his former self.Whether it was lack of fitness or the ravages of his serious injury time will tell. He was a liability particularly after half time. Not sure he should start against Wolves.
And that's the concerning thing, the total lack of effort. It's a collective shambles at present including PepThe FANS IN BLUE never gave in. Thank you fans. THEY fought to the end and for the first time ever I’m sorry I can’t be kind about the players on the pitch.
I’m sorry City players you have broken this fan. My support will never go away but you have cut me to the quick. I’ve defended you always but the last two games have been disappointing and difficult to defend.
Please bring back the fighting to the end spirit. It’s not the loss, crikey I’ve seen enough of them over the years, it was the lack of spirit.
I’m sorry. :-(
I know it's crap at the moment but that's harsh calling us a pub teamIf you coached a pub team and typically played with a high line what would you do if all of your defenders were injured?
They should ask Declan Rice to give them some lessons seriously and Saka as well , 15 goals from set pieces in the PL and 24 all up compared to our miserly 7 , clearly the main reason why they are 7 points clear of us currently.
I was very keen on Rice when he became available and we should have thrown the kitchen sink albeit London factor might have persuaded him otherwise and he would have been a great foil for Rodri but it wasn't to be.
Hopefully Rodri will regain confidence and form but we obviously need a replacement if he returns to Spain and players especially at his age rarely comeback to past performance levels at his age with such an injury.
We haven't recruited well over the past 18 months to 2 years and it will interesting how many of them will be in our next title winning side or Chumps League winning side because the present squad even fully fit are not nearly up to the standard required even when Haaland and Foden are firing which they haven't been of late especially Foden.
Pep is to blame, just as the players are. There's a collective issue. Some of our tactics over the past two games have been baffling, not to mention being completely overrun in both games but doing nothing in terms of game management to do something about it.It’s absolutely mind-boggling that you can blame Pep for these defeats. Just look at the squad, it’s decimated with injuries. What can Pep do other than play inexperienced young players in the heart of defense. Ffs, we’re missing key players Kovacic, Nico G, Kagool, Marmoush that could give some of our important players a break.
Yes, tonight was poor, but they were playing at home on their artificial pitch which we never play on. Most of our top players are exhausted. It’s like some of you have never played the game before. Or truth be told you’re all moaning for the sake of moaning just because we lost. Typical miserable entitled city supporters. We’re just going through a rough patch. We’ll be back just need to get some players back.
I get that mate, and commend your positivity. However, what is happening now is like a car crash in slow motion. Carry on playing like this, and slowly but surely each one of those opportunities for silverware will vanish one by one until nothing is left. We can all see it coming except (seemingly) Pep which is crazy. All he needs to do is tweak the tactics and things would change relatively quickly. Don't play so high, don't try to pass through teams, use the pace we have, use the striker we have, look to counter attack. It goes against Pep's ethos, but it's better than him dying on his own swordWe’ve just made two quality signings to back up some largely decent additions recently. However not eligible and key players are missing. The team that was out there last night was makeshift.
Second in the league, still in four comps, a trip to Wembley in sight.
A position that all fans apart from Arsenal would love to be in…
at the same time, there was still enough quality on the pitch to win the game with tactics that would have suited them. He’s a world class coach, one of the best of all time so I don’t think it’s unreasonable for us to expect him to be agile with tactics and formation to win the game with the players at his disposal. It wasn’t working from the start yesterday or against United, we could all see it but he doesn’t change it and for me that’s extremely worrying. No way do I want him gone but he needs to sort it out fastIt’s absolutely mind-boggling that you can blame Pep for these defeats. Just look at the squad, it’s decimated with injuries. We’re a long way off title winning or CL winning teamThey should ask Declan Rice to give them some lessons seriously and Saka as well , 15 goals from set pieces in the PL and 24 all up compared to our miserly 7 , clearly the main reason why they are 7 points clear of us currently.

At least pub teams challenge the opposing players for the ball. We're just letting the other side waltz past us at present unchecked. That is really bad and is the main reason we're conceding. It's one of the basic requirements of ALL the players in any team. Hardly anyone is doing it in ours, it's shocking.I know it's crap at the moment but that's harsh calling us a pub team
Pep should have asked Dyche how to set up a team to defend…….at the same time, there was still enough quality on the pitch to win the game with tactics that would have suited them. I'll raise you Fernerbahce in 1968 when we had Mercer and Allison in charge, plus Bell, Lee, Summerbee etc. This win would have sealed top 8, against a team I've never even heard of before. Worst European defeat in the club's history!
Get Warnock in as defensive coach ;)Pep should have asked Dyche how to set up a team to defend…….
He will be waiting for the next England game, always seems to recover and be fit for those.Where is John Stone? Must be some injury to keep him out this long while we are in desperation mode.throwing young players to the wolves in his position. Fyi he looked fine bouncing around at the trampoline park in Cheadle on Sunday, fucking joker.
Remember that Amazon documentary when Pep was screaming at the players on the training pitch "if your tired, fuck you, fuck tired" or words to that effect. The boys were a little tired against the rags, according to Pep.
No doubt the excuse this time was they were a bit cold.
BUCK UP BLUES.
