Turning on our manager showing him massive disrespect, Turning on players who have been brilliant showing massive disrespect, slagging the board, whinging about stadium expansion about the kits we wear and now when players try and do something good as in reimburse fans they fucking moan about that.
What specifics are you looking for?

Ha ha mate people just love a moan.... yourself included as you're moaning about the fans. I've been going to games since 1968 and people have always liked a good old whinge. Back then it was at the game or in the pub afterwards. If you were a really dedicated whinger you could write to the MEN or the football pink. I do remember the same people would write in all the time.

It's a discussion forum and if everybody was happy all the time it would be boring. Add to that we have our share of trolls from other clubs who like to stir the shit and get everybody going.

I think you're also confusing people having a rant on here to what actually happens at games. Generally at the games everybody supports the team. This forum is just a place to let off steam and get it out of the system. I don't see anybody turning on Pep or the players but if they think some could do better or try harder, or just aren't good enough it will be said.

The board get a bit of stick about the ticketing policy and pricing and rightly so, they have fucked a fair bit up. It's only by having a pop and/or protesting we get changes, like we did with the season ticket price freeze.

I have to agree with you about people moaning about the players reimbursing the fans. There was only a few hundred of them that made a difficult trip, in freezing temperatures, at a time of the year when most people struggle financially. It was a decent gesture but some will always be jealous and shout "What about me/ how about this game or that game, I wasn't reimbursed then!"

Anyway, carry on moaning, CTID!

Well said Phil.

The Pep critics could maybe think about how he’s helped to take us to the very elite of world football. Along the way, Pep continued to show total commitment despite the sad passing of his Mum and the break up of his marriage. Pep also spoke out in awe of Manchester’s response to the Arena terrorist bombing. I don’t know why any posters would want to talk down Pep’s contribution to our success. Obviously, anyone can make mistakes too but the positive heavily outweighs any negatives.

The grass is always greener for some but Pep is considered the best manager in world football for a reason.
Agreed completely. Pep has absoloutely unlimited credit in the bank with me.
The football we've seen, the trophies we've won, the piss we've boiled.
Pep could have gone anywhere ..but he came to us. He could have left any time he wanted...but he kept extending and stayed 10 years.
Anyone calling for Pep's removal, or questionning his talent, simply hasn't been around long enough, or doesn't understand football. It's competitive, other teams want to win as well, we can't win it all every year, great players age, get injured, teams lose their hunger. Fans get complacent, but Pep's still here.
We won't have him much longer, I really hope he goes out on a high with a big trophy, as opposed to a bad end.
The greatest manager we'll ever have, he deserves our loyalty, appreciation and support, to the end, no matter what. He has mine.

The players reimbursing the fans. Wow. Fair play. Is this unprecedented?

They should have refunded the derby ticket money too, whilst they were at it ..... having fans pay good money in the belief that they're gonna see a city performance is criminal when all they deliver is a shambles of an effort from start to finish !

Imagine if that was paid retroactively from the 90’s.
Could possibly retire a couple of years earlier than planned.

Hear me out...

Okay, so I'm not Lewis' biggest fan. Not at all. In fact, I've thought to myself I would not be bothered if he was sold. However...

In analysing the game afterwards, I thought that Rodri had no cover in mid and was, pretty much, swarmed a lot. Bernardo has been really useful in this aspect of ball outlet, fetching, carrying and starting attacks.

Lewis ain't no RB and, although he can have an affect as an 8, he may well be better utilised in a Bernardo double pivot hybrid role. He HAS the engine, even if it's only as cover for Bernardo going forward. he just has to keep the game simple and strip back what Bernardo does as he doesn't have the skillset, but he can get about the pitch and link defence and attack.

I'm worried about our mid after Bernardo, I am. We're not fluid without him.

So, in effect, maybe just maybe Lewis has a future in my eyes.

I don't know if anyone has had the same thoughts as I, generally, hate coming on these boards post a loss.

Imagine being told in the 90's our fanbase would become such a soft bunch of wet cunts that they'd be demanding refunds whilst the club were second in the league having won everything we've won in the last ten years.

Then got the players to throw flowers into the crowd before the away game kick off. Maybe Allison thought he was in a club in town looking for a leg over and ended up getting stuffed himself. Embarrassing. Flowers into the crowd in Istanbul, start of the madness over the next few years.

I must admit that the last few weeks I’ve really had to struggle to watch these inept performances and have switched over the last two in exasperation. With the use of VAR sucking the joy out of the game I’ve resorted to sticking a dartboard up in the spare bedroom and practicing for my tour card ;-)
