In theory the tie was dead once we eventually went two up, and some fans thought about saving their pennies for Wembley. Subsequent performances may well have increased the jeopardy, but have hardly encouraged fans to part with hard earned cash.132 tickets sold since yesterday at 11.30am.
Tickets remaining for League Cup Semi-Final 2nd Leg v Newcastle. Less than 2 weeks to go until the game and selling about a couple of hundred tickets a day. Likely about 9000 empty seats for it - attendance of about 43k
Level 0: 3,710
Level 1: 3,622
Level 3: 4,333
Total: 11,665 tickets left
After defending the club yesterday and being a bit critical of our supporters, I think the Salford prices are a complete dick move from CityI don't think the prices are wonderful, but you'd also be hard pushed to watch a Champions League match and the 2nd leg of a Semi Final for the prices City charge anywhere else.
It's general apathy. It's creeped in across a lot of our core support.
if you read some of other clubs twitter pages it's clear all clubs piss in same pot as regards ticketing ideasThe club is in a difficult position. Modern football is an arms race and we are significantly behind the opposition on matchday income. All the recent, controversial decisions around the corporate seats in the North stand development, reductions in the number of season tickets, third party sellers and barriers to transferring tickets are all about maximising the income for the here and now. Those responsible will have been given year on year match day revenue targets and they are looking at all angles in order to hit them. The club need to pause, take a step back and look at this for the long term. They need to get the place full and bouncing with predominantly local support. The high paying corporate customers will then follow.
Yep, and I think some of that is behind getting a decent crowd for a 3pm Saturday well priced match, compared to a midweek 8pm well priced match. We have an ageing fanbase. Some of us are literally dying off! I didn’t miss a single home game for decades but Ill health has intervened a few times in recent years. I’m missing my first home game this season tomorrow for those reasons. Back for Gala and Spurs away hopefully.
I’m ready for another
Always one show-off!!!!proud day today for myself, i managed to transfer a spare galatasaray ticket, it only took 1/2 hour and 38 lines of conversation
It’s not everything, it’s their ticketing strategy and pricing specifically I want to protest. If you protest everything then they become meaningless
That doesn’t make any sense? Ramp up the prices after no shows? We already can’t fill the ground as it is.Looks like City has ramped up the prices after the no shows against Exeter. That’s very short sighted, especially when the last round was played in between extreme weather warnings.
They won’t have, but you’d like to think they’ve got something up their sleeve in terms of ticketing when the stand opens up. If not, other than for a few of the bigger games, it’s going to look pretty silly. My very basic logic says make tickets affordable and easy to purchase and then watch the stadium fill up each game. The club are definitely missing a trick, because there's a new type of football supporter who might prefer City over United, but not enough to stomach our convoluted ticket buying process
It's these occasional/casual supporters who are often belittled but are so critical when it comes to the club selling tickets for the less attractive fixtures, especially when the capacity increases.
There were loads of Blues who bought tickets for the Exeter game and couldn't go and either were unable to transfer tickets or couldn't find takers for them. I know that for a fact. That doesn’t make any sense? Ramp up the prices after no shows? We already can’t fill the ground as it is.
As has been said there was rows of empty seats against Exeter. There’s no way that’s just people not showing up.
Nice try but you ain't getting off so easily.42 years a season ticket holder here, and I really am going to struggle with the 10 games, and you know something if they revoke my season ticket renewal, well so be it .
My work is now i have to work every other Saturday so I go when I can but the last 2 seasons I was quite merrily selling my ticket for face value approx 20quid on fb without any probs and giving folks the chance to go to games that are probs in the same boat as me (or just not loads of spare cash) that otherwise would not bother, now where was the harm in that city , no not good enough for you was it ,no you want to buy my ticket back at face value and you want to sell it on at a profit , we'll your chickens are coming home to roost , so unless you do a Starmer like u turn you are going to loose a serious amount of fans in the very near future, but you seemed not to care well it was full and demand was there ,
Well how's that working out for you now ?
Reep what you sow !
I hope your right but I'm rapidly loosing any faith this will ever happenNice try but you ain't getting off so easily.
The club will struggle to shift tickets for quite a few home games in the last few months of the season especially once the extension is open. Fans will protest about the prices, ridiculous restrictive minimum attendance requirements and difficulty transferring tickets, and the club will back down and claim they've listened to the fans rather than admitting they fucked up in the first place.
There's nothing wrong with a good Bluemoan from time to time.Well said. Some of our fans have always enjoyed wallowing in misery. It’s part of the famous City DNA. I have done it myself on occasions. But thankfully it is a minority of our generally excellent fanbase.
Marvin I first took attention of your posts when you suggested the Rags sharing the Etihad while there circus stadium got built.Man Utd get massive media backing and can survive the bad times. We are labelled as cheats. I don't think there is any prospect of Man Utd's fanbase eroding. I am not sure I want that to be honest. I want a healthy vibrant City dominating a healthy vibrant football world.
How do you know they were no-shows? How did numerous groups of 20 odd people on the same rows and chunks of seats all right next to each other all coördinate to not turn up when they’d bought tickets, by chance, for the same game?Looks like City has ramped up the prices after the no shows against Exeter. That’s very short sighted, especially when the last round was played in between extreme weather warnings.
