Pep can’t complain about the team not winning duels and then start picking Rico Lewis, Reijnders etc. At the moment Rodri needs someone alongside him. Khusanov has to play right back until Nunes is back. Conceding too many goals from wide areas.
 
Been watching Wolves a few times lately.
Very unlucky to lose to a last minute goal at Arsenal - Wolves even scored both goals for the Arse.
Played the Scousers off the park at Anfield 2nd half and again, unlucky to lose 2-1.
Ran the Rags ragged (which we didn't do) in the 2nd half and the rags were lucky to get a 1-1 draw at the swamp.
Won their first game the other week. Coming to us on a high. I see another draw.....
 
We might see Donna, Guehi, Rodri, Cherki and Haaland with Semenyo on the wing. When we have everyone fit and available we really will have an exceptional side. The job for the moment is to stay in the race, and then we hunt Arsenal down when we are back to something like full strength.

I'll take any win but I think we might win well if we can find Haaland. I wouldn't rest him. It's a difficult decision for Pep.

RAN can get caught out of position but his attacking game is very good. At Bodo, RAN had to do a job for the team on the right because we had no wingers. I would play Rico at right back if Nunes is out.

For nearly everyone popping at RAN on the right wing and the perceived Pep brain fart, he didn't realistically have a winger available in Norway.

He may have done better playing NOR & RAN on the same side tho?

RAN is obviously miles better on his favoured side. I wouldn't fancy Rico against Mane who has been their biggest threat during the mini-resurgence they've had.

I didn't want to dramatize it, but I do suspect it. It just seemed much more aggressive and debilitating than any form of ’flu that I've had in my life. As I say, “Covid lite”, possibly. The virus has mutated and there are lighter versions of it now doing the rounds. We know this.
Right back in March 2020 I lost all sense of taste and smell for about a week. But no other symptoms whatsoever. Being in my late sixties then, I was lucky.
If Matheus Nunes has got that, then he shouldn't be anywhere near a training ground, let alone playing football. But there is also a vicious form of ’flu doing the rounds in Europe too. I get vaccinated now every autumn, but certain strains of ’flu can get past a vaccine, I'm told.
Whatever it was, it was fucking awful! Still not fully quite out of it, although I'd say 90%.
