Reform 2025 Limited new name same business

Sorry, more betting market info from me (tends to be a lot more informative). Only £10,000 bet so far (that's small change) but it looks like Gorton and Denton will be fought between the Greens and Reform. Incredible, probably our most extreme left and right parties squaring up. Labour are 5/1 with the Greens favourites around 11/10 and reform around 6/4. Change is happening before our very eyes.
Changed a bit from yesterday. Reform were slight favourites over the Greens and Labour weren't as long odds as that

A long way to go yet but it's looking like my vote will be going to the Greens

For once, it looks like your individual vote will matter. Enjoy the power!

These are Betfair odds which are a bit more accurate than traditional bookies. For those people voting tactically (to stop Reform) it will be a nightmare if both the Greens and Labour are competitive.

I haven’t voted for a good number of years and I think that will carry on for a long time. Reform at first appealed to me but Farage and his Tory cronies will just be a repeat of the abomination we had for over a decade. We’re just fucked as a country, can’t see how any party can turn it around. There’s so
many conflict of opinions, it’s a poison chalice for who ever gets into power.

I do think reform will end up pissing it. Labour have lost most people’s trust and they are only a year or so in and the greens have bob hope of getting into power.

It’s hard to choose but don’t agree not voting is an option. Also don’t think the country is in nearly as bad a state as reform and some of the media would have you believe,in their attempt to scare you into voting for them.

Matt Goodwin is their candidate for denton and Gorton election

wow - imagine - you were a Tory MP who lost at the last election - eg Gullis - go over to Reform and prostrate yourself before the ego then a by-election comes in and you are over looked for a racist"intellectual" to get the gig !!

I’m not sure who’s going to win that one. I think anyone from labour, reform or the greens could win. The vote on the left could be split as well.

Feels a bit odd that Denton has been grouped with those areas as well

That's my area. If you can use what you saw online as a barometer then it seems a lot of people have decided to vote reform regardless of who their candidate is.

Tend to feel the same, in terms of apathy towards voting in the medium term. Labour, whilst not being catastrophic, have been uninspiring. I'd never disregard Conservative completely if they can offer sensible policies but they're currently in the gutter, someone like Cleverly could rescue them I suppose. I see Lib Dems as a viable alternative but I'd like to see them burgeon before the GE to avoid "wasted vote" syndrome.

Regardless, I'll be in the ground before I vote for a bunch of neo-fascists and their merry band of Tory failures.

Anderson is utterly moronic.

He has clarified saying about 100 volunteers turned up so he needed somewhere with a big car park. It just doesn't stack up - for example each car could hold 5 people so parking for 20 cars? Even if they all come in one car each you'd only need parking for 100 cars - I don't know the current day area well but is that hard? I mean they don't all have to use the same car park to park.

I firmly believe it is. I’ve seen in my industry a shit load of factories close down over the years. It’s hard to buy into the idea that everything’s basically fine, when I’ve seen it myself that it isn’t.

And it’s not just factories. Digital ID, HS2, immigration, energy prices, net zero, pick one. Tory or Labour it’s the same shite.

Brexit was sold as one thing, turned into another, covid contracts were a free for all, HS2 chopped to bits. Hard to take any of them seriously anymore when it’s just promise and then u turn, repeat.

Now this is going make me sound like a proper nostalgia merchant, but I can remember when I was in my teens in the early 2000’s, the parks and recreation grounds were spotless. The park behind my parents house used to pristine, about ten immaculate bowling greens, tennis courts, nicely mowed grass. Parks around the area were the same, but they are all mostly run down now. No attention is given to them. It may be a shit example to you, but I often think what went wrong in those 20 years for things to be so half arsed now? The country is on its arse in so many ways.
