Yes, capped at £250. Doesn’t affect me but good to finally have control installed.Good to see new laws on ground rents coming in, well done Labour on that.

The democratic system we have in place is broken and doesn’t work. Would be good to have a greater focus on that tbhOnly twice since 1918 has a single party had more than 50% of the vote. In 2015 the Tories had only 3% more than Labour do now. It would be interesting to look over historical posts to check your outrage then.
Cue loads of stories about 'poor' landlords who can't afford to run their 50 homes because of the socialists.Good to see new laws on ground rents coming in, well done Labour on that.
Need to get a grip on service charges for apartments next, robbing bastards.Cue loads of stories about 'poor' landlords who can't afford to run their 50 homes because of the socialists.
I have no sympathy for them of hedge funds, like the ones that own the property in currently in. The law has been tilted in their favour way too long. But like the Employment rights bill it doesn't go far enough.
Know that experience too well.Need to get a grip on service charges for apartments next, robbing bastards.

Don't you just love the capitalist system.Had a new housing development a few miles from me that were leaseholds. As soon as development finished the builder sold LH to someone else (possibly a hedge fund) that instantly whacked the lease hold annual charge up by £2k. Outrageous practice so anything that stops these charlatans in their tracks is to be welcomed.
Anyroad Starmer is still a ****.

I read a piece today saying this could affect pensions. How the fuck does this happen? Hedge funds and investors might take a hit? Crazy.Cue loads of stories about 'poor' landlords who can't afford to run their 50 homes because of the socialists.

I agree. He was a gonner anyway after the council elections in May but this has just brought his demise forward a bit.I think he’s a gonner after today. Burnham, like him or not, would have won the Denton by-election. When Labour lose to Reform or the Greens, only one man will be to blame and I don’t see how he can come back from it.
Nigel and his band of failed Tories for you then?Labour will soon be tumble weed and dust. Couldn't lead their way out of a wet paper bag.
Wait till they’ve had 10+ years to properly fuck up the country then they can join Farage and his Merry band and say how it’s all someone else’s fault…Labour will soon be tumble weed and dust. Couldn't lead their way out of a wet paper bag.

I can only think that the MPs heads are completely spinning.Imagine being a Labour MP having to defend government policy only for them to u turn. What’s that 14 now?

I know if it was my manager/whatever and I had to publicly defend it I'd be absolutely fuming and demoralized.
Don't bet on it. Some manage to do it to a fine art!I imagine a few of the posters on here who defend them come hell or high water are feeling exasperated let alone the MPs!!!
Take it you can't wait to vote for the frog-faced Führer?I imagine a few of the posters on here who defend them come hell or high water are feeling exasperated let alone the MPs!!!
