Criticising City and their players is a guarantee of earning the cockroaches a sum of money.

Best to ignore.

Some genuinely hate City, some moderately dislike us, some are indifferent and some actually might like us personally, but they all know they get clicks and views for slagging City off.

Perfect recent example was Michael Vaughan in the Telegraph, he was pleading for support for his club, Sheffield Wednesday. The headline he chose was something like “help save Sheffield Wednesday, we have more fans than Man City”.

An utterly bizarre thing to say and actually objectively untrue. I’ve met the man several times and know for the fact he likes us more than Utd, I’ve heard him speak at a dinner and him have a pop at Utd fans and ask if there were any City fans in the building, then say “you lot are alright”.

He’s used us there because he knows the mass of red plastics around the UK will click.

It’s as simple as that and we’ll never change it.

I think he's the only current player to have put in strong performances both at CB and RB.
Personally prefer him at RB, where there's a bit more licence to roam and cover for others without disrupting the entire line.
Should be one of the very first names in every team sheet as far as I'm concerned.

I still don't fancy Nunes as a defender.

He's certainly making a better job of it than he was, and I actually quite like him up on the wing. When he's playing with the confidence to do it, he can whip in a terrific cross.

But at the back, he's exposed all the time.

Watching this you appreciate just how physically imposing he is. By my reckoning, Mitoma probably has the advantage and maybe even the pace to keep possession, but he doesn’t have the bravery to risk contesting it. Few would.

How so ?

He's 21 (technically he's only had 5 birthdays), so he wasn't going to be playing with senior players fit ahead of him, but he's got in, and grabbed his chance, and he deserves to stay in.

The biggest reason we need to keep him in the side is his pace, he'll still make the odd rookie mistake, the odd rash challenge, but he's calm making most decisions, and the quickest defender we have, improves game on game for me.

He showed a really strong character for a kid with no English in a strange environment and the eyes of the world upon him.

Absolute cult hero material.

He didn’t really, Bernardo showed great character in coming closer to him and helping and the players kept passing the ball to him (even when as a fan you thought no).

He was very nervous and it showed.

Pep showed great management leaving him on to get over it and subbing around 60-70 not at HT.

Took a little bit of time for City fans to get over it and more for the opposition fans.

But I think he’s great, he did an amazing number on Vini Jr away to Madrid.

I think if he didn’t go off injured v Arsenal we win that game.

Be interesting what Pep does once back to full fitness at the back and also next season.

Dias is a CB pure and simple. Can see Gvardiol getting games at LB and also midfield. Khus RB if Nunes is injured. Reis no idea.

Can see many games where at least 3 of them play. So they will all get games and rest too

Well there's more to defending than that, but yes, I always like to see him pull that move off.
