Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

Dont think things behind the scenes are 100%...the back room team has changed, Txiki who was in charge of recruitment knowing peps style of play, methods and the quality needed from the targetted players for them to slot into his system, for it to be seamless has gone

Some absolutely unacceptable performances going in at the moment. Chelsea, United, Bodo, Spurs. That today was as bad as the rags and Bodo. Terrible opposition and yet all 3 of them could have scored half a dozen against us. Jog, walk, sideways, backwards, walk some more, 3 yard pass forward played straight back whence it came, walk, jog, sideways, walk, walk, give ball away, get countered on, concede…..and rinse and repeat.
How many times do the rags steal games at the death with a quick break and cross? We never do. We walk slowly forward and instead of putting a cross in, we recycle the ball back to the centre halves.
I understand that Pep is going to be here next season and I understand that he deserves loyalty for giving us the greatest days of our lives, but Jesus Christ we’ve spent a fortune, yet we’re playing abysmal football at a snail’s pace, worsted in every challenge, repeatedly picking players in awful form and making one bum decision after another on the field.
Haaland, O’Reilly and Foden need extended breaks and today Semenyo, Rodri and Ait-Nouri joined them in the great City stinkathon, and on the subject of the Meat Shield, I don’t want to see City players with their arms draped around opposition shoulders and having a laugh and a joke mid-game. Fucking sort it out, Pep, FFS

He looks exhausted. He looks done. The players are reflecting this.

It’s time to let him go. Im sure he will walk in the summer.
he does look tired generally and his ideas too.

going into away games vs Brighton, Villa, rags, Spurs and get total of one point despite knowing exactly how those teams can hurt us is quite bad. we can add Liverpool to this list, we know what is going to happen there.

He never wanted to be here this season in my opinion.

It was all set for him to leave last summer, but after the disastrous 1 win in 14, he had to stay and couldn't be seen to leave us in the crapper.

Only positive in him staying is had he gone, Ruben Amorim would have been our coach.

We can't have another season next season like these last couple. Yeah i get we're still challenging on four fronts, but it's just so dismal to watch, way way too slow with zero risk attached to our build up. It was like walking football today like it has been for an age now. Change needed probably in the summer with a new team with fresh ideas. Thank you for everything Pep but I personally want to enjoy watching City again

Agree mate, but my patience is out with Pep now. Change needed in the summer

The fire has gone out.

Thanks for everything baldy.

I hope the club have a plan as apathy has set in with the half hearted performances.

I said it on other threads but it’s sad to see pep’s team perform like this. It’s completely out of character. Think he probably stayed out of loyalty to khaldoon and 115 but it’s clear the man is exhausted and isn’t getting anything out of this group.

Maybe going from human suffering awareness to football is having its toll. The football bubble pales in comparison to real world problems.

Mojo gone. We got a lot out of the pep era. More than anyone could ask.

We need the 115 decision and find that hunger again. Players not being pushed. Look disinterested.

To be fair many of Txikis signings took a year to bed in. I'd argue Donna and Cheri have settled pretty quickly.

If Peps time is up, who do we get in specifically for this group of players? I'd say Luis Enrique but how does that play out with Donnarumma?

You wanted him gone six years ago. You have a weird vendetta against him. You always have.

I wanted him to leave after we won the CL.

I've no 'vendetta' against him at all. I've said many times on here that I've never liked him as a person, but I am happy to say he's been the best coach in the world while at City.

I just think he's past his prime and don't think it's sensible for us to keep him on 'past credit' rather than identify and appoint his successor. Someone else should have been appointed for the rebuild.

I'll be amazed if he's in charge next season.

No excuse today. We finally had a strong squad and were up against a severely weakened Spurs. Pathetic second half performance all around

Our greatest ever, THE greatest ever, but I think football has finally passed him by. Too many teams know how to play against us. This isn't a knee-jerk reaction because it's been building for 18 months or so, but it might be time for us to go our separate ways in the summer

Give him a statue and a stand and say goodbye before the fans turn
