We might have profiled him incorrectly in our scouting.

Is he just a midfielder in starting position? But he just wants to make runs behind?

Then that was a massive blunder in the scouting.

He could only play in the striker positions then for us.

We need more Doku, Cherki, or Bernie style players. Who love the ball and want to keep it.

Where would he even play? Let’s assume everyone gets fit and in form, an we buy Anderson as rumoured.

In what scenario would you ever play this guy over a fit Rodri, Nico, Anderson, Nico OReilly, Foden or Cherki?

We seem to have spent the best part of £60m on a 4th choice #10.

Yep, totally misprofiled. The fact Pep played him as a 6 on debut at the Club World Cup tells me he thought we'd signed him a Gundogan replacement, only to quickly realise he has no interest outside the final third.

Between Reijnders and Marmoush, we've spent well over £100m on two players who need a system built around them to flourish, but neither is better than what we have.

I think so.

I know many are responding back about giving Peps new players a year to settle in, but we could always atleast see how the player could settle in.

Reijnders will be 28 next season, can't play deeper in midfield, so can only play up top, and we simply have superior options there.

He is a bench player at best for us.
 
At this point I'd be happy to never see him on the pitch again.....alongside Phillips he is the worst signing of the recent era.

Hopefully he is unhappy with game time and someone comes in for him in the summer!

What a poor player. Gives us absolutely nothing. Will score the odd goal but does nothing else. Need to flip him in the Summer.
 
He isn’t what we thought we bought in my view
We came into this season with Kovacic and Rodders injured which left Nico G and Bernardo as centre mids. Which leads me to believe that we thought he could play there - he can. He’s too wet

So the only place for him is further up the pitch. But he’s isn’t good enough for that

We thought we were buying a Gundogen replacement, we’d have been better off buying Gundogen’s granddad or grandmother, come to think of it….
 
Deserves til the end of next season. On two occasions this season he's been building up a decent bit of form, only to get suddenly dropped or to have his midfield support get injured. Think he'd be perfect as a false nine but we're years past that point now unfortunately.
