We are 2nd from what we managed to put together from mid September to mid December however the league is 9 months long not 3.

We have 7 points from the last 6 games… 1 more point than Wolves, same number as West Ham and 1 less than Forest - all teams battling relegation and we are matching their form.

They are also the only 3 teams we’ve beaten in nearly two months in the league. Get your head out of the sand mate.

I absolutely love Pep, he has given us some of the best days of our lives... but i am not sure his heart is in it anymore.

He's getting on a flight midway through the week to Barcelona to give a pro Palestine speech. Whether we agree or whether we disagree with his political standpoint, should a manager that is going for the league title be doing this before a very important game on the weekend?

How do you expect the players to be motivated for the game when their manager is sauntering off to Barcelona 2-3 days before a big game v Spurs?

Could you imagine Arteta getting on a plane to Barcelona and letting the coaching staff take control of the training sessions and the media duties whilst he was away?

It's unprofessional and it's unacceptable.

he was very clear about us setting standards in previous years, but watching Liverpool winning title, PSG winning treble, now likely Arsenal winning title, while likes of Bayern and Barca both playing much better football generally than us, we need to catch up to these somehow while they all wanted to catch up to us 3/4 years ago.

feels like both Real and us are on bit of a decline, their issues maybe bit of laziness, too many egos, too comfortable, ours seem to be Pep's ideas aint as strong anymore, recruitment level dropped off, some of the hunger is gone too which was most noticable in the summer window of 2024, when Txiki and Pep decided lets not make serious investment have onne more go with old guard while they were past their prime/best big time, ad since then recruitment is bit odd with huge splurge in January windows, and likes of Marmoush, Reijnders aint becoming what we hoped them.

teams nowhere near as scared from us as they were 3/4 years ago. they knew they cannot outplay us or outfight us or outfox Pep. these days all of these happening quite often. managers were scared of City because of how hard we worked off the ball and how well we controlled the ball and tempo. most of this is completely gone, we cannot hold on to a 2-0 lead vs Spurs and it was about them being closer to a 3rd goal than us by the end. Donnarumma had more to do than Vicario says it all.

Because it goes in cycles it's the reason Liverpool didn't win the League for twenty years and the reason ushited haven't since 2013. It's difficult to maintain. But if some City fans think the answer is to get rid of Pep I think that would be a mistake.

I‘m not arsed about the Palestine stuff at all. But I do feel like he hasn‘t got quite the same fire.
Not really a criticism. Wouldn’t necessarily say he’s ‚checked out’. Just lost a bit of drive. Probably inevitable after so much success over 10 years. Or just from getting older over 10 years.
I also find it a bit difficult to think that he is genuinely excited by the kind of football we‘re now trying to play. He‘s spent 20 years insisting that his teams will only ever play one way, to one set of principles. I can‘t imagine it really stirs him to see us struggling to string three passes around at the back under any kind of pressure, before someone lumps it forward or squints it out of play.

Correct . Never heard anyone ever say pep should be sacked but he does need to go at the end of the season as it’s becoming clear in my eyes that the dressing room is off and once that starts it’s over and he’s not helping himself either I mean Mamoush scores last week and now can’t get near the pitch and the big man cones back and tbh I don’t think he scores another 5 league goals this campaign and also starting to moan every week about decisions going against us is also very unpep .

Correct we support Manchester City and pep fc which I think a lot in here forget and yes he’s been legendary for us and will be the best but he also gets paid crazy money to sort this and is it fair that supporters are spending probably most of their wages watching this dross week in week out and befire anyone says the old days need to remember that the old days have gone and we are now a European powerhouse who should be fighting for titles every season . You’re absolutely correct but some of us don’t want him sacked, we just think it’s naturally ran its course and both parties need a change, he probably needs a long break. There is almost a cult like obsession with Pep. To read “he stays as long as he wants” is a crazy thing to say!!

Nothing lasts forever and he has given us 7/8 years of utter dream land, but if you cant see and even feel the decline of the last 2/3 years, then i dont know what to say to you.

For me, its time to go, probs at the end of the season, i still trust that he’ll get us top 4 and maybe a cup, but i think the powers that be need to be having chats now. Id like to think that as a club we have plans in place, plan Bs etc, rather than like them lot across the road.

Therell be one or two top coaches available in the summer.

And before i read anymore bull shit about “forgetting where we came from”, do one. We aint that club anymore.
