Is the league, for want of a better word, ‘bent’?

The league isn't bent. There's so much conspiracy shit going on right now that it's fucking embarrassing.

Instead of leaping on the latest refereeing fuck up against our side and immediately claiming that there's a conspiracy against us... let's first examine such claims from every other P/L side. You'll find that we're fucked just as much as anyone else.
===
Anyhow, bitch and moan and claim conspiracy against City as you will. It's bullshit (almost certainly, but hey, such scandals have happened in the past).

The solution to all of this idiocracy is - IMO - 2 to 5 years off - in terms of AI-assisted adjudication on all calls.
Italy, Germany, Spain.

All found to have corruption in them in the past. Either by certain clubs or groups of match officials manipulating fixtures.

So it couldn't happen here?

6 current PL refs refuse to disclose who they support.

Two former refs were involved with bookmakers.

The head of PiGMOL used to work for one of the most corrupt police forces in the country.

The original head of PiGMOL forced out along with Mark Halsey who had the audacity to admit he was told to change his report to get a city player banned.

The cozy New York dinners involving the execs of Arsenal/Rags/Dippers/Spurs who are there to just have a mates night out.

So yeah...It could never happen in the premier league. FSG/Joe Lewis/Glaisers/Kronke all squeaky clean businessmen brought up on; "The American dream"

Then a russian billionaire appears and fucks up the plan by pumping his club full of cash and their cozy cartel is shook. In 2012 lckkle city come and change the game both on and off the pitch. Rather than embrace change they go all out to destroy us.

So forgive me if I don't think there maybe some truth in all the bullshit. Because most of it is.

No. They are incompetent and inconsistent.

What has happened is that we have had multiple bad decisions go against us in a row. Yes that absolutely looks like bias but it would have to carry on a lot more before we can say a league we have won 6 times out of the last 8 is bent.

Good to vent though.

Yes but it's how blatantly obvious that it was a wrong decision as opposed to being difficult to tell which leads to questions beyond incompetence to accusations of something else
Agree.

But context is important.

There's at least two possibilities...

1) Video review is fucked up in general - too unwilling to overrule the on field referee. Or not looking at enough evidence. Or whatever.

2) Or that City (and perhaps other clubs) are being targeted for whatever reason.
==
1 above is obvious.

2... for me... means that you'll soon be wearing a tin-foil hat to protect yourself from alien tesseract waves.

A wrong decision.

But are such decisions uniquely against our club? Or is it human error?
Haaland penalty shout? Human error?
Wolves handball …human error?
Dalot on Doku …..human error
Newcastle offside…..human error even tho stills showed offside
Yesterdays goal….human error

The list goes on and all these are pivotal decisions and too frequent against one team.

I recommend that you stop watching P/L matches... as they're all fixed, in your opinion.
Are you deliberately missing the point? There is so much evidence of the redshirt clubs being favoured both on and off the field it is ridiculous if you can't see it. Part of that includes wanting City to do badly. An example is tell me what punishment the rags got for their fans preventing a PL game taking place at the Swamp v LiVARpool........I'm still waiting.
So if course not every match is fixed but the drip drip of American owned clubs being favoured by the PL, compliant media and used as cashcows is obvious.

Rags yesterday got a free kick after a var review for a penalty. That is re reffing the game.

Why is Conspiracy shit …. shit?

You probably believe 2 planes brought down 3 towers ffs.
Why is conspiracy shit? Because it's based on a complete lack of faith in every single body of factual reporting.

Belief in conspiracy means that you can believe that the earth is flat, that CO2 isn't a greenhouse gas, that, well, whatever you think is true, because X, Y and Z posters have cited clear evidence of such.

Here's the thing...

All of you that think that the P/L is bent, are no different at all, from those in the USA, who think that Donald Trump won the 2020 election.

There's zero evidence that Trump won in 2020 and zero that the P/L is currently "bent".

That said, P/L officiating is fucking awful ATM. It'll be massively improved in the next 5 or so years, IMO, as AI makes initial rulings with increasingly minimal oversight from humans.

Some of the "explanations" from Howard Webb wouldn't sound bizarre when placed next to a Trump ramble, and it perhaps explains the situation for so many, if not you

Let’s assume it’s not bent.

So it’s:

confirmation bias?
115 cheats?
Incompetence?
Technically inept?
Human?

Think I would rather it’s just bent. The list could probably be longer.

Players coming out week after week speaking out is proof we have been getting fucked over. Don’t matter what you or I believe, they believe it is happening and it does explain why heads drop. Again, this is not an excuse. The players should be doing a far better job and they have to take responsibility for that. I don’t want them using the bias as an excuse.

So lots going on.

Haaland penalty shout? Human error? Ball not in play
Wolves handball …human error? Arm in natural position
Dalot on Doku …..human error just a graze
Newcastle offside…..human error even tho stills showed offside within tolerance
Yesterdays goal….human error Solanke kicked it

The list goes on and all these are pivotal decisions and too frequent against one team.

The gaslighting cunts are just taunting us with their excuses.

Add into that the former head of the Premier League talking of a plan to have a different winner every few years. How might that be achieved?

Some ridiculous decisions, definitely - the Cup Final was mind-blowing. But then I think of VVD's header and being awarded a penalty in the Bernebeu (ok, I know the thread title asks about the League specifically) - both of which had enough doubt to allow either decision - and it's difficult to make a case for anti-city bias, imo.

Ok, so RM was 'only' a group game and some might say that's what allowed that one through, but at the time of the Liverpool match it was conceivable that that could have been a title-defining moment, much like Leroy's 14mm goal-line call?

On balance, I don't see any conspiracy. But jeez, that Cup Final one - I'm not sure that was ever justified.
There's always a possibility of corruption on a match-by-match basis, of course, irrespective of which teams are involved. That's more likely, maybe?
