Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

We are NOT Pep FC.

He took me to Istanbul and took us home with the treble, hes got plenty in the tank for me.

He's always been stubborn and never makes subs early enough imo. But hes up against shit refs and VAR, shit press, shit charges, shit weather and hes took us to another level in the ten years hes chosen to be our manager.

We're 2nd in the league and in all cups with a "young team" still learning his style. Ill back him

We were always going to be title challengers. We haven’t slipped that much. Sadly team mistakes, individual errors, and Pep’s predictable style of play are slowly costing us a real title fight with Arsenal. There is time to rectify it, but with the games coming up thick and fast, and our remaining difficult away games, I can’t see City catching Arsenal, sadly. I think City will make top 4, hopefully.

We were always going to be challengers, quite simply because the standard of 16 of the 19 clubs in the PL is awful. We were no great shakes last season and still came third, only 3 points behind Arsenal.

Even the rags have one foot in next year's CL... That's how poor the PL is.

We could probably sleepwalk for the rest of the season and still end up in the top 4.

Would have been brave by the club but still think we should have moved Pep on after he let the team turn up complacent and hungover for an FA cup derby final, or at least he allowed them to use it as an excuse after claiming motivation would never be a problem for one of his teams. Now that complacency has crept into the recruitment and I'm not sure changing managers would do anything as we've signed too much crap. Even latter day Wenger wouldn't have signed Donnaruma, Doku, Semenyo and Marmoush to play a technical possession style.

The management clearly didn't agree with you, and the club would no doubt be is a strange and dangerous state, if supporters decided the futures of respected members of the club management team.

I'm also not sure that everybody would agree with your assertions, however interesting they may be.

Interesting time for BM

Call me deluded but I just don’t he’s anywhere near done at City despite the incessant speculation surrounding his future.

Could easily see him signing a new deal this year.

I think he’ll do a shorter Fergie now.

I'm not Pep out, absolutely far from it but I do think the football is really dull. We've got so much quality within the squad yet we play with zero intensity. We don't flood the opposition box and we don't take risks.

Watching us pass the ball sideways isn't exciting. It's possession for the sake of possession.

It's only been this way recently.

This season we've scored the most goals and the most from open play. Up until Christmas we were looking strong.

However injuries and running other players into the ground has caught up with us.

We are NOT Pep FC.

I think you're not seeing things since you're too close.
But look at it another way.

There's no Rags without Busby or Fergie.
There's no Dippers without Shankly, Paisley, Fagan & Daglish.

Whether we like it or not.. it is Guardiola's City now and will stay that way until another manager wins 6 EPL titles and 1 treble - which will be very large shoes to fill for anyone coming in.

The moment Pep leaves.. media will hit us with - They're nothing without Guardiola!

And honestly they'd be right.. we had what 1 CL semi final appearance without him in 100+ years?
