Seat Counters 25/26

Block me then you fucking weirdo, sick to death of you commenting on my posts you sad fuck.

I haven’t commented on your posts for weeks.

If it’s not me you’re unable to have a normal conversation without abusing, it’s another forum member.

Other BM forum members try and talk to you, engage with you, explain their point of view to you in a civil way, but all you ever do is lash out, make childish retorts, and abuse them.

The world of City doesn’t revolve around your views and opinions soley. You aren’t always right.

Try and discuss City related topics civilly, sensibly, with a bit more thought and understanding of other forum members opinions and views, and you might find other forum members are a bit more understanding and receptive towards you, your opinions, and your views about City, instead of thinking you are a weirdo and a sad fuck!(as you say)

As for putting you on ignore, it’s not worth it. I scroll past 99.9% of your posts and replies to other forum members any way. But your abusive reply to EMB caught my eye.

Newcastle fans will have a field day tomorrow night with their chants of empty seats
How about, there here, they’re there, there ever fucking where, empty trophy cabinets….

Sadly it doesn’t rhyme.

But if it did, that would shut up the self-proclaimed best football fans in the world.

Usually I sympathise with the club on matter like this, but recent ticketing measures applied by the club to innocent supporters have turned me.

Fuck them - they deserve it. They continue to put our home and away tickets on third party websites, while banning blues for giving tickets to a mate. At some point the tens of thousands of empty seats will be a wake up call to someone.

That my fellow blue is almost 100% correct.

TBF, I’m not sure the club puts away tickets for sale on their official ticket touting partner websites, but I could be wrong.

As it is, nobody knows what the club are really doing with the sale of home and away tickets.

To be fair pal….it doesn’t change the fact that the Etihad looks like it’s gonna have 1000s of empty seats for a cup semi final,2 nil is a DANGEROUS score….the team need a FULL stadium,or at LEAST near enough….am I/we asking to much?

Not having a pop at you as you are making the financial effort like a lot of City fans are.

The directors should have made the tickets cheaper for Gala, Newcastle, and the Salford Rags.

As most of us keep on posting, make the tickets cheaper for the cup games and we will fill the Etihad. Exeter proved that.

What money the club loses out on cheaper ticket prices, it will make money back on additional drink, food, and merchandise sales.

Finances aside, a full Etihad is much better than a 3/4’s full Etihad, and the support will help the team more.

I get it’s a money business, but when it’s a one off cup game, a full Etihad and support matters just as much, if not more.

It’s about time Soriano, Danny Wilson, the other directors, and Pride ;-) showed some ‘balls’ :-) and put the fans, the team, and the atmosphere first over revenue, over priced tickets, and empty seats.

Come on City!
For all the comments on pricing it dosnt make much difference if it's a mid week game .apart from any other factor by being successful City just play to much football and it becomes overkill.

I think the club has slowly tied itself in knots with its various ticketing policies and we're now seeing the end result. Not the only factor though if there's a lot of empty seats tonight. As others have mentioned, transport, personal finance, being on tv on a chilly midweek evening will all impact the attendance. Whether some agree or not, a lot of supporters are finding the football a bit boring and mundane as well and just can't be arsed going.

Small time club small time fans who haven’t had any relevance since they beat us in the 1955

They got pitifully small crowds pre Keegan so they can’t say anything about empty seats . They’re just another middling club which has boomed in the PL era as the grounds became riddled with middle class fans with more disposable income.

I agree.

It is sad.

The general drop off in City fans going to the matches for whatever reason is concerning.

This isn't a tonight problem, this is problem created by the club and will continue unless the club wake up and realise that they are destroying their core fanbase who would turn out in their masses if the club started to focus a bit more on core fans.

Not just pricing, but over the last few years they have turned what i would previously of described as a typical match day experience into something i hardly recognise. Even little things like how stewards treat fans with absolute contempt. Having to show my season card just to get to my seat, the change in demographic around me in 015, the complete fiasco around transferring my ticket to a mate if i cant go and the whoe ticket drive from the club to get tickets into 3rd party hands, the cost of taking my kids with me if i want to take them to a game that isn't an 'Exeter' one off.

I still love going but its a million miles from what it was only a few years ago and all i can see is it getting worse and worse. The only wake up call i can potentially see is when they open the new stand, unless they address a lot of these issues then there is going to be even more nights like tonight where the ground so visibly empty.

Well this 115 thing is hugely damaging the club and business crazy that people think its us prolonging it and fans I suppose have had enough, constant abuse from other fans, being called cheats wears you down, the clubs reward for loyalty is price rises year on year, using toxic companies like viagogo to sell tickets to any fucker that wants one, the ground being unsafe with lots of away fans in our end, the banning of loyal blues or kicking them out of their seats to accommodate more tourists, the hiring of wankshaft stewards who think they are ten men until it comes to tackling the away fans in our end and then they shit out, ive been to one cup game all season to pay my respects to Kevin Debruyne and thats it, maybe like thousands of other blues im coming to the end of being a match goer and the trouble is that once these fans go its hard yo win them back... ps sorry for the rambling on!

God help us if there's a somewhat sustained downturn in the teams performances over the next few years. I said earlier that I feel quite a lot of fans are swerving tonight because of what they perceive as not that entertaining football we've seen recently.
However that's only a part of it. What you refer to is at the heart of the problem more than likely. I think the club will have to take drastic measures very soon concerning the whole ticketing strategy in order to turn this around.

Probably some truth in what you say. The more they drive away long term fans who would hardly ever miss a game and replace them with fans who have only ever known City be class, maybe seeing a downturn in how we play will get more people swerving games. So many factors come into play, but at the heart of that is the club and where they are driving the fan base and match day experience.

It’s a problem alright but not a simple one.

My mate is a member of Reddish Blues and they had a City rep there a while ago who said for one game over 60% of season ticket holders did not turn up.

I don’t know who it was or what the game was!
