Sir Keir Starmer

I’m not claiming Starmer isn’t at fault but your bias really weakens your argument as to who was worse.
Johnson ignored the scientists and his board and making the decisions he did, resulting in thousands losing their life
It's irrelevant who is/was worse. We need to deal with the here and now. Starmer's decision to appoint Mandelson based on his previous financial history and the fact that the vetting flagged up the Epstein issue shows abysmal judgement.
After the Gorton election loss he is dead meat. Of a mediocre bunch Streeting is probably the most appealing to the electorate.

I was simply responding to a poster who wanted to state that

I don’t mind seeing a fair fight but some right sneaky shits vying for the top job mate. Pulled some absolute shitbag tricks.

Unfortunately for the party members, as I see it, the right have got hold of the Labour Party (by design) so you know it’s going to be bad outcome for you leftie tossers whom I mostly rather like ;). You will reclaim the party at some point - I just do not see that being now, barring a miracle. What a time to be alive.
The miracle being becoming as ruthless as the Mandelson/McSweeney 'Labour Together' project ....they're not called the soft left for nothing ;-)

I think we know full well that Starmer didn't appoint Mandelson. He was appointed via the advice of people like Mcsweeney who were mates with Mandelson, I definitely can't see how Mcsweeney survives this.

He has been naive at best, reckless at worse and whether he goes or not we'll see. However, Labour don't have a good history of getting rid of leaders and the next one has to be a diamond as whoever it is will probably lead them into the next election.

It isn't a case of whether Starmer goes but who could replace him? I wonder if this reopens the gates for Burnham?

There are apparently, rumours circulating around West, inster that Starmer is set to resign in the next two hours.... who knows if it true or not?

That said, if you analyse the situation and in all reality, what else can he do? He truely is a busted flush and there was absolutely no support for him from his backbenchers in todays debate.... watch this space.

.... where the fuck is @BlueHammer85 5 when you need him??

What happened to the boring government I thought we were going to get, hoped for, it’s almost as bad as Johnson and the parties in Downing Street??

Now we’ve got Mandelson in his under-crackers divulging UK secrets and Andrew up to his sweaty armpits In sleaze

I do not think i have ever been as ashamed and as angry about the Labour Party as i feel today.

i am so happy i resigned my membership two years ago and i had been a member since the 1970s

Blair and his sychophants are pushing the UK to the far right, because they destroyed the only chance to fight it by the defenstration of Corbyn . the labour right have always been more dangerous than any other faction in uk politics. they are corporatists disgusied as socialists. Mussolini would have loved them .

I think he has just achieved the impossible and surpassed Johnson and Truss as the most incompetent, duplicitous Prime Minister this country as had for ages.

Even surpassing the depths of lying and spinelessness that I have unashamedly held him in.

I bet he wishes he could do a "U" turn right now, or even a handbrake turn.

As the legendary Jim Reeves once sang.... "He'll have to go".
You lost me at Truss.

Starmer is a gonner - Ange of Adswood has stuck the knife in - prepare for Farage - country is a gonner.

Gardiner has just opened his coffin on Newsnight with Polanski grinning in the background - Morgan McSweeney is Mandy's protege - his puppet.

If he's going Labour need someone to talk over who's not going to appease fascists and call them out. Both here and in D.C.

Trump tears up deal. No problem. We'll work with the EU/India/China. Put a kill switch on US tech.

He's incredibly naive, and comes across as weak, I don't see how he can survive this. For the love of god someone needs to step up and stop Farage from getting power.
