Sir Keir Starmer

Don't hold your breath. The last station commissioned was 30 years ago and the stock built in the 70s is near end of life. Don't worry though, Miliband's windmills will keep the lights on.
It’s definitely happening, first three being built in North Wales, other sites up for tender afterwards, initial 2.5b investment from the Government.

so basically you just believe the Reform sound bite shite then? We have solar when its sunny and wind when there's wind that supplements existing provisions. Following the Reform plan you endorse would mean we would be reliant on imported oil for 100% of our needs
This is nothing to do with Reform so stop trying the distraction technique. You appear to be very familiar with their policies on Energy when there are far more concerning things which they are espousing.
You are the only one talking about 100% dependency on Oil for our energy needs. At no point has that been suggested. I see little difference between being dependent on imports of oil and having to buy our electricity off foreign controlled companies.
Also you appear to be totally dismissive of the unemployment aspect of this.

"Rayner = her Financial sleaze at this time is too similar to the mandelson type greed to get in now (she needs KS to stay for a bit longer)"

There is a report from HMRC due out - if that exonerates her then everything you typed after = is null and void. I think if so she would win because for Labour it fulfils a lot of their needs.

1/ gets Starmer gone
2/ new leader would be an aspirational working class woman who has dragged herself up by her boot straps
3/ first full time female leader AND female PM which gets two monkeys off their backs in one go
4/ someone who can clean sweep the cabinet and start again
Dragged up by the taxpayer. Tell me one achievement that didn't require support from the state.

everybody who has achieved anything has the state to thank in part - everybody.

You went to school? State provided. If you went to private school the state gave your parents a tax break.

Went to Uni? If you are about 45/46 or older and went there then it was free.

And so it goes throughout your entire life

I actually paid quite a lot myself to attend uni and I haven't relied on any form of state funding during my adult life. I pay plenty of tax and due to pay even more thanks to Reeves. It's probable that I will only be able to live off my private pension if I am actually able to retire.

The rhetoric that she's "achieved" a huge amount on her own is complete bollocks. She's had state help for the whole of her life whilst others have endured hardship. Many working class folk have achieved things organically without state help or being a parasite on the state. So please don't tell me she's a working class female, she's just great at grifting and being a freeloader.

Not charging VAT on something by design is not a tax break. Unless you are of the opinion the state are subsidising our weekly food shops?

ever taken a train or a bus? Both services regulated and subsidised by the Govt. Do you ever travel on a road? If so do you limit yourself only to those you built and paid for? Ever used a library? Ever had to call the emergency services?

I'll tell you what is bollocks. The idea that somehow you can live your life entirely off grid just paying tax and encountering nothing that the state provides. You'd have to have a private island and never leave it.

All paid for through taxes and NI and is irrelevant. My original post was in relation to somebody who has made a living from purely living off the state and is somehow seen as a working class hero despite not ever actually having a proper job.

I think he actually believes there is a pot of money called 'the state' which just appears from nowhere like magic:-)

Now be grateful that you have received something from your own taxes or those of your parents or community.
