Yeah I got to know him very well for the best part of a decade. Well enough to tell him exactly what I thought of his presentation of all things City.

I totally get people thinking he’s a prick. I think the part he plays is that of a prick (only too well) and I prefer not to watch him. So I’ve no issue with anyone calling him that. But talking about HMRC when he’s not had to pay tax for a decade and a half or him milking the NHS when he’s worth £20 odd million at minimum or clutching pearls about him being married to a now 37 year old woman he’s been in a relationship with for over a decade is scraping the barrel. As I say, just call him a ****, one doesn’t have to gild the Lilly.

Don’t know that I so I’ll have a look. Used to read his restaurant reviews in the Sunday Times before AA Gill. Seen a few documentaries he fronted ages ago. A very incisive and funny bloke.
