Liverpool (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Knobheads like that are all over the match day thread then come in here early on and meet the real fans who don’t go on there. We’ve just done the double over the scousers for the first time since 1937 and that’s their comment. Either a non city fan or fans we don’t need.
The matchday thread is a specific experience and it probably reflects people's internal dialog being expressed publicly. Its the same on all clubs matchdays. Frustration, elation, emotional outbursts... its part of the game. Yes, some folks criticise our own players heavily and often but that is the way some folks are. I think we all need to view that thread in context of live events and things said in the heat of the moment

It just turns it into pantomime farce. I assumed he had played the advantage. You've played the advantage, the goal is scored, so why then pull it back after the event? If he hadn't played the advantage and stopped it for the foul then why didn't he blow for the foul straight away?

Mark Pougatch summed it up, how can a player get a red card for denying a goal scoring opportunity when the ball ends up in the back of the net? It's just stupid.

What angered me is what if they had gone up the other end and scored? And it still might be significant at the end of the season.

Have to say though there were two or three occasions when Cherki should have passed to Haaland.
It's fucking bollock mate.

They score that and it stands.

Unbelievably there are Blues on here defending it, "it's the rules"

So the other week at Newcastle we had a good goal chalked off because Haaland apparently stopped their defender from having a chance of blocking the goal.

Today, Haaland is pulled back from getting to the ball but it didn't matter as the ball was going in anyway!

Both ruled out!.

Correct - a bollocks decision.

Szobozlai is a thick **** and fully deserves thst red card. It's just a pity it's only one game. First he dives for the free kick which wasn't a foul. Now it's a great strike but given how he hits them like that almost every week you think we'd have put more than two men in the wall. Then he's in Haalands ear trying to put him off before the penalty is taken. I think that should be clamped down on too. Finally he pulls Haaland back and denies what would have been a great goal and end to the game. Instead we have that var fiasco and it's ruled out. He's a cheat and got what he deserved. The mist stupid part is it wasn't vital as we still won but it bloody well could have been.

About time we won a crazy game like that. We fight 'til the end!!

Long long overdue. We've been dropping points from winning positions the last few games. Today at one of the hardest grounds to get a result we at last showed grit, fight and guts and actually won from a losing position. Let's hope this is the spark we need to kick on until the end.

True but then they come on this thread and ‘celebrate’ with a criticism. They can sod off.
