He handled that really well. I see Phillips tried to trip him up near the end in attempting to get him to say all 2700 were innocent and he threw it right by saying that's not true and some are guilty of criminal damage.

I used to work with a woman like that. Her first comment the workday back after the attack, bearing in mind this was Manchester City Centre, was something along the lines of our country letting the **** who did it down and the government driving people to do stuff like that. It was the UK’s fault apparently, not the animal who actually decided to murder children. She did end up getting a talking to off management as several normal people complained.

They’re insane and you’ll see, they’ll just reply with “fascist” when they can’t debate the topic.

It’s not about the ‘fascist’ (you obviously don’t know what that means), it’s about what she said. If you think anyone who comes out with those words is reasonable, I worry for you.

As someone who’s always been slightly left wing (with a few slightly right wing views thrown in), I’m massively disillusioned with this new left. They’re traitors. There’s nothing out there for people like me in politics.

My opinion is that Badenoch, as an individual, should be the next PM of this country, she’s the best out of all the leaders.

The big glaring problem is she is leading a party that deserves to die and should never be trusted again, so I’ll never be able to vote for her unless she leaves and sets up a new right of centre party.

What am I missing here? She never said anything about 'people who have some issues with mass migration' were to blame for the bombing. Infact I think in that same interview she said she has lots of issues with the current immigration system herself.

It was a messy exchange where Goodwin was just firing off statements and questions while she was mid answer, but she even said in the clip she's not saying he was responsible for the Manchester bombing.

I try to avoid 26 secs of reactionary tiktok short form to inform my politics but I'm old fashioned.

She's fallen for a trap that Goodwin's laid out for her here and he promptly talks over her and puts words in her mouth to make it as clipable as possible for social media.

The point she's trying to make is:
People like Goodwin, Farage, Starmer etc create a culture of islamophobia which is more likely to drive people subject to the racism they experience to the fringes of society and extremism. Obviously, these people are individually evil fuckers, but what Goodwin wants the reason to be is "immigrants/muslims are violent" which just isn't true, we've had immigrants and muslims in this country for decades and it has been to this country's economic and cultural benefit. People like Goodwin want to deflect all of the problems Thatcherism has caused this country onto immigration.

Also to the twat who calls it "mass immigration" it is obviously a racist dog whistle and part of the extreme right wing ideology that also drives people to violence. I also think that these cases are happening because the individuals responsible feel isolated and scared because of the tangible problems they see in their day to day life. And that these cases can also be reduced by improving community and reaching out to those most ostracized.

re-Hannah Spencer, she's great, down to earth, working class person from Greater Manchester. Matt Goodwin is a rich bloke from Hertfordshire who has openly said he doesn't like Manchester, which is fine. He's allowed to not like it but I'm allowed to think he shouldn't be an MP somewhere he doesn't want to be.

Exactly. She never said anything remotely along the lines of what the tweet claims, yet people are falling for it hook, line, and sinker. Fucking unreal!

Instead of reading the tweet, watch the clip. It's nothing like the tweet claims. It's desperate straw-clutching from people on the far-right who know the Greens are favourites to win the by election.

He never said he doesn’t like Manchester. You’ve fallen for the exact thing you’re criticising.

The wider segment Goodwin was criticising the Tory conference in Manchester. Labour cut and spliced one comment to make it look like he said he doesn’t like Manchester, when he was saying he doesn’t like the Tory conference in Manchester. The Manchester bit wasn’t important.

He’s reported Labour for doing it by the way.

Regarding the bombing, we know why he did it, it has absolutely nothing to do with right-wing political figures. The police have communications from him they seized in the investigation.

He had been radicalised in Didsbury mosque under a particular extreme sect within Wahhabism, and had grown to despise Western culture. He saw the Ariana Grande concert as a symbol of western decadence and unholy to his religion.

It’s correct to question that we brought this cretin and his family in as refugees and this is how they repaid the country that looked after them.

People refusing to do that are morons, but that isn't what the green candidate said. So that's that. As for Matt Goodwin, he's just a slimy fucking wanker who clearly changes his attitudes depending on what graft he can find. We don't need a prick like that in Gorton Denton thanks.
