All bets are never off just because a player does something disrespectful. No one’s saying that — well, I’m not at any rate. It’s two separate things. He acted like a **** in that moment IMO. And if he was racially abused that’s appalling. But if a Benfica player had aggressively tackled him later and left a mark, I’d have said he brought it on himself.
