Tino Livramento

There are very few better than Nunes that I am aware of. Hakimi is the only one that is way better and he will not be sold.
I think Nunes has convinced Pep.
If we are buying a full back it is only going to be one at roughly the same level as Nunes or one who will be a back up.
I think we will go with what we have for at least one more season.
If its a back up and someone who can play a few positions, playing in cup games and coming on in the last few minutes of league games, I wouldn't be averse to bringing Kabore back into the squad. I'm guessing Wrexham would like to buy him as his loan appears to be going well.
Its not costing us anything.
I know people are going to say he is not good enough but his role would be back up to Nunes, not a Nunes replacement.
Khusanov is the other option, rotating between RB and CB.
I just can't see us spending the quoted transfer fee for Livramento.
I think AK to fullback would make some sense as we’ve got Reis to reintegrate into the squad.

That would depend on whether AK could become a fullback though.

Don’t need him.

I never thought I’d ever say a nice word about Nunes but he’s been class this season at RB.

We could do with a defender who can play right across the back line as cover. Another Akanji type.
Funnily enough after reading a few messages in this thread I was going to post something very similar about Nunes

Absolutely no point in paying whatever the extortionate fee for Livramento would be when we've got Nunes, who's shown an incredible amount of heart as well as skill

Lazarus style comeback in city fan affections for the lad. Worked really hard. Chuffed for him.

Nunes has one quality I've not seen in many players..

That very rare and special combination of Humility and Pride.

His coach (Pep) said publicly he's not "clever enough" to play for us.. and he used that as motivation to get better and prove everyone wrong.

Reminds me a bit of Rodri.. benched for the CL final and he used that as motivation to get better and prove everyone wrong!

The club should be spooked by the Stones and Ake situations over the last few seasons but Livramento is only 22 I think and already had some serious injuries? Great player but no use in the stands!
One bright note about him: he's got a hammy so we won't see him tomorrow. I guess they will start Gordon at striker, also.

We cannot pay what he will cost with his injury record. It would be insanity. Good player but a huge risk.
Let's get Lewis Hall to partner Ait-Nouri so we can free up Nico O. to fix another part of our setup and work in midfield. I'd then be looking hard at Fresneda/Read/Singo, et al. to partner with Nunes.

When Gvardiol returns, he'll be playing at the LB (with Ait-Nouri being a backup) so O'Riley will get his time in the midfield nonetheless because there's no chance Gvardiol or Guehi get benched if both fit.

Yes, I think you will be proven correct about this, but it is going to be next season before we see Gvardiol in a City shirt again. I am praying that he can return for the WC (we'll see) and doesn't suffer any further injuries during it.

Guehi's acquisition certainly makes your assertion seem far more likely, as both he and Josko prefer the left side.

Price dependent this could be a great transfer because of how good Nunes has become.

Livramento would be able to rotate and help on multiple positions.

He hasn’t signed that new deal yet and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him push for a move here if we are still remotely interested.

Nunes/Livramento (Khusanov if needed)
Ait-Nouri/Livramento (NOR also but we all want him in midfield)

Obviously Josko can play LB as well but I hope his long term future here is CB
