This isn’t “the 20th time he’s accused others of being racist”, there’s been 20 documented cases of racism against him, mostly by fans in Spain.

Your phrasing makes it sound like he’s accusing people every week an a boy who cried wolf, when the reality is La Liga has had to dish out fines and people have been arrested because of the sheer amount of racist abuse that he’s subjected to on TV broadcasts in front of the entire world to see.

As for the hermano/mono thing…where to even begin. Not even Benfica have claimed this because it’s so unbelievable, why would he cover his mouth to say “brother”?

Not sure if there is a Spanish problem but this incident involved a Brazilian and an Argentinian playing in a match in Portugal.

Can we not just apply some common sense ffs. Look at the video. Does anyone cover their mouth to say a friendly "brother"? Does Vini react like he does to it? do teammates of all sides react the way they do if he said brother? And does the player for Benfica shit himself as he does when Vini goes to the ref if he said "brother". It's clear what he said and people scrambling around for excuses know it as well.

For anyone who isn't completely on his side in this and finding it completely fucking appalling that a black player is being racially abused on a pitch in 2026 then watch his interview for Madrid where he's absolutely distraught. That might give you an insight into the human being behind this and the toll it takes. It's unacceptable, regardless of whether he's a **** or not, celebrates in front of the opposition fans or not. Played cricket most of my life, we’ve got lads from the subcontinent in our club right now and if someone said something as bad as what was said to Vini Jr, I think they’d get a whack off one of us, we’d just take the ban.

Racist abuse goes well beyond sledging and banter and I’ve never heard something as bad as that in my time playing cricket.
