Starmer and his beloved Arsenal tottering toward a decisive May. Gunners to goners, so to speak.
Considering Labour have pushed us to the left and the quality of life has decreased since they came to power, with the jobs market collapsing (I work in that industry and despite doing well myself by working smart I regularly speak to people losing their livelihoods over not finding work), I fail to see how out flanking them and increasing taxes and mass migration will improve it.I will be honest it would likely increase, especially if the quality of life improves in line of their policies. How much is acceptable? Depends who you ask, most Reform voters want mass deportations….
I think Zack needs to calm down a little here. Yes, I voted Green, but I didn't do so because I believe it was "transformational for British Politics." I did so for two reasons, to keep Reform out and to give Labour and Starmer a bloody nose.
A number of people I've been speaking to (although there are a myriad of other reasons Greens got 14k votes, I accept) feel the same way. Punishing Labour, not advocating Greens. Starmer and his brand of champagne socialist yuppie politics needs to go. We've told him here we don't want it. Punishing working families and people to pay for the workshy and feckless by taxing them to the hilt? Nah, get gone.
We can all get behind thatStarmer and his beloved Arsenal tottering toward a decisive May. Gunners to goners, so to speak.
Part protest vote, part agreeing with some policies, part to keep Reform out. Were you comfortable voting green and some of the policies theyve advocated this week?
Or was it simply a protest vote?
One of the things that we've constantly heard in the media is how Labour have to do X and Y to avoid losing votes to Reform. Basically all of which involve being more right wing. It's nice for them to have a reminder that they can lose votes on the left by pandering to the right.I think Zack needs to calm down a little here. Sadly that’s probably highly likely, though I hope not. Were reform ever going to win? Were they ever going to swing a very left wing area right?
Its been left wing forever.
I think reform will see the result as a positive in so much of the amount of votes they got, there will be much more right leaning constituencies that will swing right away from tory rather than left from labour

The right got 10,000 and left got 25,000. I wouldn't say that's a good result for Reform. Especially not if the Tories get rid of Badenoch or this new far right party can take votes off them too. Were reform ever going to win? Were they ever going to swing a very left wing area right?

This is the question I ask, do we have a limit on how many immigrants we welcome in?
Nonsense m8Nah. THIS is what the country needs.
Wow - some news to wake up to! Pissed it by over 4000 votes too. Even with Labour imploding and loads jumping ship, Reform couldn’t get anywhere near the Greens.
What it also shows is that while polling was closer than the final result indicated, the bookies had it right all along in making the Greens clear odds-on favourites.
I agree, I’ve got no problem with people coming here and working for a living. For me immigration is great for the country always has been they come to work work hard! It’s more about the illegal ones..
