Is there a risk that the two Madrid teams won't be allowed to play on successive nights? If so I think that would mean our game would reverse as Real finished higher in the league. Would be typical UEFA fixing
I'd say its more than a risk... I'd say it will 100% happen

Some right bed wetters on here.

If Arsenal decide to rest players in the PL games before their CL games well the they won’t be winning the league. Arsenal will, like us, have to play their strongest teams in their run in. That’s how it works.

Also, this bye to the final nonsense. They drew to wolves the other week in a game pretty much everyone said they would win big (apart from me who said they’d draw).

Arsenal drew to Wolves and Brentford last week. There's no easy draws if you're in that form and they can't afford to rest and rotate players in the PL because they're never far away from one of those games.
It’s more the games we’ll need to play than them. The last 6 winning teams are all on our side of the draw. Only Barca have ever won it from the other side and the last time they did was over 10 years ago.

We won’t have any opportunities to rotate.

Would have preferred Bodo, but we have already beaten Madrid so we have nothing to fear. If we play our A game we should win.

We will see. I don’t rate PSG this season. I think Chelsea is a toss up. I think Liverpool would beat them.

What have Liverpool done this season to inspire such confidence in their class?

It's difficult to predict, but Liverpool have been a bit lucking in energy this season. They need to think about the PL, Chelsea too.

When we won the Treble, we were in the difficult part of the scheme with Bayern and Real. It's the same now. And we had a decisive game vs Arsenal at the Etihad in April.

It's a divine sign :)
I hope you are right but we had the third best football team the World has ever seen in 2023 imho.

Feckin farce...the two worst teams left, Bodo and Sporting (Spurs aside) get to draw each other and provide Arse with a walk in to the SF
That ridiculous pen given against us in injury time after that jug headed chunt Dyer feigned contact has cost us here

Arsenal took the early games seriously whereas City weren't clinical enough in Monaco and lost to Leverkusen with a heavily rotated team.

Arsenal finished top and City almost didn't make the Top 8

I dislike the new format for completely different reasons but surely Arsenal getting a potentially easier route to the Final is their reward and our extra hurdle?

Just found the regulation;
If two or more clubs from the same city, within a radius of 50km of each other and/or playing in the same stadium, take part in any of the UEFA club competitions, and if the association and the clubs concerned explicitly declare when entering the clubs that their matches cannot be played on the same day or on consecutive days, the UEFA administration may alter or confirm dates and kick-off times in accordance with the principles set by the Club Competitions Committee.
I remember being in Madrid a few years ago on the Tuesday night watching Real Madrid play at home against Chelsea on tv and then the next night we played Athletico Madrid away.

PSG only 2 points clear at the top of their league. PL massively stronger.

I go by the stats rather than history. Liverpool above PSG in every ranking right now (just) but yes PSG could come good.
