Just been having a look at the league phase opponents of the top 8 to see who actually had the hardest set of fixtures after all. Turns out it was City who had the hardest group of teams to face, based on when they were knocked out. Spurs and Sporting with the easiest runs.

I think historical ranking should be replaced by current rankings.

No I was reinforcing the point that Arsenal being a Pot B seed is a nightmare for the Pot A teams who played them instead of a team who should have been ranked between 9th and 16th. Backed up by the fact Arsenal won all games. It was a disadvantage for teams like Inter and Bayern who had to play us as they 'lost' one weaker opponent in the process.

If we win the title I can't see us retaining it given the collective relief after the recent near misses and our level will drop, so I'll go on record to say that I hope you win it next season as it means the Dippers won't.
