Awful penalty decision went in their favour today which changed the game.

Couldn’t believe the sky fan club (sorry commentator team) said the defender pulled Cunha back…..he had his hands on his shoulder which also started outside the box.

There were a couple of minutes just before HT when the ref gave them two free kicks in dangerous positions just out side the box….neither was a foul but Palace should have heeded the warning that the Ref was waiting for the opportunity to give them some kind of advantage.

I'm not up to date with all these rules and regulations but what happened to that double jepody rule where you don't give a red card if you get a penalty.i presume it's been scrapped.

Total and utter farce of a pen. That and far more is happening all the time in the penalty area when a corner is being taken, but nothing is awarded. Football is going to shit because of the system.

That is not the first time a rag player has perfected the art of the swallow dive in the penalty area. As one of the pundits on ESPN said, "How can you fall forward if you are being pulled back - Cunha over exaggerated the incident".

Football has been my life, live it breathed it, but I am slowly falling out of love with the game, it is becoming more and more fixed than WWE wrestling, at least in WWE people know it is scripted, we are still expected to believe its real and the VAR decisions are correct

I wondered about that and had to check. Double jeopardy only applies to offences where there is a "genuine attempt to play the ball" So, scythe a player down but going for the ball? That's fine, a shirt tug? Can still be a red. No, I don't get the logic either
