Nottingham Forest (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

'Bbbut we've won against Newcastle and Leeds, it doesn't matter if we played like a wet dogshite!'
Where are those people now after drawing at home against a relegation club?!
1 week of rest against both Newcastle and Leeds (Newcastle travelled to Azerbaijan 3 days before) and we struggled like we are paralyzed or something. When I pointed that out I was clowned. I really wanna see the excuse drops from these happy clappers now.
Haaland is a liability to this team, quite literally does nothing. Can't pass, can't shoot anymore, can't take the ball, losses it as soon as he gets it, just walks around like a tourist in a park.
Guardiola needs to get his head checked because subbing off Cherki, our only playmaker who assisted a goal for a fucking Savinho is a criminally insane behaviour.

The usual knee jerk shit on here following dropped points. All the players are shit apparently and so is the manager!

We played OK, not brilliant, but we controlled most of the game. Forest are fighting to stay in the league, so we were never going to have it all our own way and they were always going to have a go at some point. They scored two worldies. The ref was questionable also.

Shit happens, we move on.
We were poor against a Forest side who were very average. Their goals also came from our poor defending.
Cannot gloss over it unfortunately.

Considering the season we've had being 2nd is fucking amazing.

I will piss myself laughing if we end up winning the title after that. It will show Arsenal up more than us if they do.
Genuinely though, if the officiating hadn’t been so shit in the past few weeks, we’d be in front of them. Brighton and Chelsea for Arsenal and a penalty tonight, we’d be 1 point behind with a game in hand and with them to come to ours.

Something must have happened there.
Absolutely, how on earth Bernardo and Rodri played the full 90 is beyond me. Infact get Nico G on for Foden at the 70 and we could have been looking at 3 points. this can’t be good for Rodri’s body and I’m putting this down on pep if he gets injured again. Bernardo is 31 and while a workhorse he looks shattered by the 70th

You're right.

The PL wants a "new" winner.

Never Haaland's fault.. Always the teams...

Perhaps the club shouldn't be giving him the highest wages in the world if he needs perfect circumstances to consistently make a difference.

The reality is the Leeds game was his only good one over a month and a half or two.
Not saying it ain't on haaland but what are we actually creating. Since the formation change Haaland has struggled....

Weirdly not doom and gloom after that. I thought we played some brilliant football tonight and it was yet again just a little bit of sloppiness at the back and a lack of composure up top that cost us from winning comfortably. Got to give credit to Forest, two quality goals and defended for their lives.

Steady on pal! Don't come on here with your positivity.

Two utter shite teams fighting for league title, it's just that somehow we're managing to out bottle the bottlers, this was utterly unforgivable from the players to the manager but it's been coming, we never ever kill teams off, when we're in front we just decide to play the tiki taka crap with no attacking purpose which means teams always stay in it, Chelsea, Brighton, Spuds and now Forest, it's always the same script and we just never learn.

Concentrate on the cups now lads.
I actually predicted the outcome in the match thread just after half time. I take no joy in being right.

No worse than Cherki, Semenyo, Haaland, Nunes, RAN

You can point all you want to the first goal from semenyo which Cherki created but both were absolute ghosts after that
RAN failed again to defend and stop the cross.
Nunes giving the ball away along with Cherki, Guehi countless times.

Foden wasnt good but neither were the rest of the team for the most part....
Samenyo was played to far out wide and then not given any service, his goal came from him drifting in.
Haaland was screaming for balls through where we passed sideways instead.

we played too narrow and cherki and foden were ocerrun at times but sorry phil was weak andnlost possesion too much
Nunes was awful, but Guehi was equally terrible, lost the ball and wayward passes far too many times.

bad day for all but some were wasted and some were soft

Rightly denied
The first falls into the category of extremely soft
The second isn't even close (Rodri one)

No such thing as a soft penalty. If you come out as a goalie and do not even touch the ball, but in the process touch the attacker, then it is a penalty. The force doesn’t matter as Sels fouls him. These have been consistently given. Arsneal got a penalty 3 years ago when Ederson touched Nketiah or whoever was their attacker at the time.

I don’t by that they were fighting for their lives I didn’t see that I think we were poor and helped them on there way! The two goals all though well taken are very preventable and I think we also didn’t bother actually putting in the effort till around three minutes to go even our goals were average and poor defending by them
