Seat Counters 25/26

Forest fans are not bothering with their Europa League fixture this week. They priced it at £50-70 for adults and £18-35 for kids and their fanbase have pretty much said ‘fuck off you cunts’ to their club.

Sets of fans like these, similar to Newcastle and Villa, have only had a few years of this shit. Even the Rags had ten years of ST price freezes and for eight years their junior tickets for PL games were £13 in every stand… yet they’re all moaning

We’ve had stupid pricing for a long time!

HaHa.. no sympathy. They were giving it the big en at the semi last year...

Looks like you've called it right and I've called it spectacularly wrong ha ha ;)
Terrible sales. Unless they do something radical immediately (and accept the Tiktokers in the home end) there will be loads of empty seats. I think this suggests that the Liverpool game will be very poorly attended too. It's been a wierdly unpredictable season for the seat counters, not unlike the team. Overall trend is in the wrong direction without a doubt.

Agree it's been a weird season for us seat counters - Carabao Cup Final sold out easily but then you have games like this. I could be wrong (again!) but I do think that Liverpool at home in the FA Cup has more appeal to regular City fans - ie: ST holders - than Real Madrid in a Round of 16 game in the CL. As long as that one is reasonably priced I can't see it not selling out

The club aren't willing to change that, and with 6k extra seats to fill soon, I find it completely bewildering.

They can say the price of the last 16 2nd leg game v Madrid is the same price as the 1st leg of the Playoff round was last season, but I feel like we are in a completely different climate. And there feels like there is no understanding of that from anybody at the club.

People have just run out of money.

I didn't think we'd sell out this morning, however I certainly thought we'd sell more than 2,000!

The club should be extremely worried. Maybe failing to sell out vs Real Madrid could be the wake up call they need?

Id like to think some people are waiting to see how the 1st leg goes but it’s still a poor number of sales this morning none the less

The overall trend is definitely in the wrong direction, especially when we address the elephant in the room in the form of 8,000 extra seats.

You've been saying it for a while, but the club need to do something radical if they want any hope of selling the ground out next season. Struggling to sell out a UCL game vs Real Madrid is very telling.

I would be interested see what the demographic is of those members that snapped up the League cup final tickets. I have a suspicion that a significant number have a post code that is closer to London than Manchester. They’re prepared to go to Wembley for a 4:30 Sunday kick off but not picking up the slack for midweek Champions league games.

If there are not alarm bells ringing in the club at the RM sales, then there should be.
I can log straight on, get kids tickets for £15 and adult for £42.50. There are thousands left..
It's the second leg of a knockout against the so called biggest club in the world, in the self branded biggest club competition in the world...and sales are very very sluggish.
There's simply too much football, too many games to attend. Adding another 2 group games in the UCL is mental in this environment.. Next year we coud close a full stand for the lower level group home games like a Bodo or Sparta.

After 10am window:

L0: 661
L1: 1,603
L3: 6,752

Total Left: 9,016 (I think about 2,000 sold)
At 11.35am, Tickets left for home v Real Madrid (Madrid returned their Level 3 allocation - only taking up Level 0 and Level 1):

Level 0: 596

Level 1: 1,444

Level 3: 6,663

Total number of tickets left: 8,703

there is that but there is also the restrictions being a lot tighter...the only way you could compare for sure, is if they open it up further to any member who has attended a game at the etihad, like they did for the final

Agreed. The only way you could possibly justify having 2 extra League games is no Play-Off/Last 32 Round. To have both and so essentially 4 extra games (2 extra homes) before the Last 16 is a joke. I know we missed the Play-Offs this year but point still stands
