Sheffield Wednesday thread

Those who come up with these rules seem to be not bothered one bit if Sheffield Wednesday end up in the conference! Saying they could be docked another 15 points next season is a fucking disgrace!
Thats why the reckon it will be Ashley the clubs prie will drop down and then he will come flying in at a knock down price

Is that a possibility? I hadn't heard/read anything about more punishment. How many times can you be punished for one "crime"?
Is it "one crime" though, or repeat offenses for the same crime?
If the latter then Owls should have confessed to everything and got one huge punishment.
However if they are continuing to not meet their obligations then the additional penalties will continue to accrue.

All to do with there owner if he doesn’t fulfil or pay the bills the rules are there to punish the club! Which is mad that they have rules that an owner can ruin a club! There is no rule because it wouldn’t stand up in a court that if you had a bad owner you can kick him out the club without him selling it!

When he first come in am sure he spent to much pushing to get promoted to the land of honey! Now the club is losing so much money that he doesn’t want lose all his money! He want to much for the club and it’s stale mate!

The -15 is because the bid is less than the requirement to pay creditors 25p in the £

In essence any new owner do not want to give Chancer £15m (the 25% he is owed) so look to take a chance and put it into the club.

I get that, but as we need the squad being made League 1 standard I just hope we can be competitive enough so that even with the deduction we can stay up.

After the last few years (some say 26!) I'm not sure the fanbase will be up for a League 2 tour.

The true supporters will and I'm pretty sure you have quite a few. We know, we've been there. Good luck.

Yes we have and to this day, I still recall a conversation with a work colleague, another blue, at the time we were in the Second Division. I think we had a run of defeats, then I remember we were beaten at home by Port Vale. I went into work pee’d off and so was he but more optimistic than me. I remember saying to him “we want to watch we don’t get caught in a relegation battle, we might end up in Division 3”. He scoffed and laughed. How wrong was he and how I wish I was wrong. Relegation to the lower leagues can happen to any team.

Would you fanbase rather start League 2 on a level playing field or League 1 again struggling from the start ????

If it's anything like this season, if League 2 makes us competitive then cut the middleman out and start us there.

Although reading this from today could be where we are heading regardless as the EFL are looking to implement £7m a year wage bill and max players salary of £7 a week. This would be on top of the -15 point deduction

You'll still get 25k+ in the 2nd division(if it ever did get to that stage) because you are without doubt one of the most loyal fans bases in the country. I really wish it wasn't happening to you lot. :(

Tell me about it. .
And being pelted by bricks at Stoke City after we went down ....is a unique way to celebrate that feat
Not.
