Arsenal are winning the lot if they beat us next week. The confidence they will get from beating us at Wembley.

I don’t really know what to say about this City team. At times this season, I thought yeah we’re looking a decent team. Cherki was growing into the team, Nico was beginning to look a player, Haaland was still scoring. Since the new year, although we had a good run, it hasn’t been pretty.

Semenyo and Haaland together has to stop. Two players who can’t control a football shouldn’t be playing so close to each other, it will never work. Haaland needs to be around technicians running onto their balls.

I wouldn’t put it past Arsenal winning a quadruple. Pep has sabotaged the team through his weird changes and he is playing every game with 10 men as we have a Norwegian piece of plank playing for us.

Football is evolving. Pep evolved it to such a high standard but now it has evolved again and he hasn't.

It's all about pace, physicality and power. Our top starts can't cope with it. We got bullied tonight. Outworked and out fought.

Look at our back 4 compared to Madrids tonight. They were in total control whereas we were all over the place.

Our wingers had zero output.
Our midfield chasing shadows
Our attack out of ideas

We are miles away from seriously competing in Europe IMO.

I will say though that Haaland was unacceptably poor and has been bang average for a long time now. Not sure what we do about that tbh.

Agree with that. They had 3 chances and 3 goals in the 1st half.

We outplayed them for large chunks of the game without ever getting a decent chance.

This squad just seems so disconnected from what is required to win. We’re in an irreversible decline imo with too many problems. There’s a reason football has always been cyclical.

We had a great run. But i agree we are just in a downward cycle now. Try to win the odd cup in this stage then before you know it we will be rebuilding to get in the top half of the league
