The both would have won many league titles & cups. They may not have won 4 in a row & probably not a treble but id say with our squads they would have had a not far off trophy haul in general & they would have won a champions league.
Not having a go at you personally, but I despise the “be careful what you wish for” line. And, as some of us have been trying to warn, be careful what you wish for.
Kompany with his obvious connections to city and his partner is from Manchester. If it was one more season of pep we’d need to be building a squad of players that Kompany wants and not what pep wants. Would he leave Bayern I’m not so sure but that leave must get a bit boring if Bayern won the CL this season I’d think he’d move on easierThink they want Kompany after next season when pep goes but will Kompany want to come then does he want more time at Bayern?
This Maresca talks sounding out! was for me before pep committed to another two years! As a club you have to prepare so of course they talk to managers who could replace pep..
He’s bound to be bored of the French league, it’s shite. Not signed his new deal, who’s to know if we’ve not already got him lined up to succeed Pep?PSG will be happy to let him go.
Fair enough, although I’m surprised you thought we’d be good enough to win the league this seasonSorry Pal I don't agree with you on anything, simple as.

Hasn’t he said he won’t sign a new contractPSG will be happy to let him go.
The club structure & circumstances was slightly different & they wasn't in charge for anywhere near as long but yh i think they would both have won more titles going forward but not as many as Pep.Is that based on them winning a solitary title, a cup and then flaming out before being leaving? I'm not diminishing them, but I have no idea how you can think it would be the same or similar. They were good managers, Pep is an all time great.
I've already stated how frustrated I am with our current style of play, criticised Pep for it and want the same change we all do.Not having a go at you personally, but I despise the “be careful what you wish for” line.
It’s just such a wanky line, like we aren’t allowed an opinion that we are bored of our style of football and feel like the squad is underachieving.
Of course he’s the best manager to have ever walked the planet, and we’ve had an awesome 10 years, but he isn’t staying long term now anyway, so just get on with it. What’s the worst that can happen? Outside of the 115, there’s no way we are getting relegated anytime soon, we’re still owned by one of the richest men on the planet, it’s all good. If we have to battle it out for a while, who cares? Eventually in the next few years Big Vince will be taking over and we will have our next dynasty manager. If we have to have a bit of a shit merry go round for a couple of seasons then whoopee do.
And that equals coming to City, does it?Hasn’t he said he won’t sign a new contract
Shoo in if fitLewis then?
Who’s to say Bayern wouldn’t want to get rid of Kompany if he doesn’t bring the CL, they got rid of Pep quick enough. After 3 year at Bayern he might leave and if he comes to us we will give him times fans will give him more time than say Maresca! We wait and see! Best scenario is pep wins the league next season he signs another 2 year contract..

We bought Cherki and Pep doesn't play him. I've never seen such faulty logic in my life from a fan base. Nico G plays great and doesn't see the field because Pep says so. If anyone thinks Pep has gotten the best out of this squad they don't know dick about football. If Pep were coaching a Bournemouth or a Fulham in this manner they'd be in the relegation zone. WTF are some of you actually watching? Ya want Pep to stay, great, but stop trying to gaslight people into thinking he's done a good job since the quad because he hasn't.this is it ,now is the same question again. Why is City buying those players they have in the last 2 seasons? Cherki could become a very good player and maybe Guehi ,the rest is not up for it. Loads of money have been spent the last 3 tranfser windows and team plays the same as last spring.
I don’t think any team will do what we did in those years but things change, players change there are very few Pep type players out there now to play the style he wants, last night we had total control but we lacked a Silva or KDB, Cherki maybe the answer bit he’s not been fitted in, the team maybe should be built round him and getting the best from Haaland. What was telling last night was Marmoush reaction to been subbed, the camera was on him and he was not best pleased and rightly so, he scored two against Newcastle and did more against West Ham than the big donkey did and still got hooked. Alvarez could see it and left, he will go and then we won’t have a back up again. Do the players know Peps going and aren’t arsed or do they know he’s staying and think I need to go.I've already stated how frustrated I am with our current style of play, criticised Pep for it and want the same change we all do.
I'm just realistic in the notion that ending Pep's tenure as manager will not automatically see a return to winning and dominating as we did under him. Some Blues are of the genuine notion that Fourmidables, Centurions and Treble Winners will return once Pep goes. I, and others, are simply pointing out that that ain't gonna happen, and they should be mentally prepared for it!
That's devoid of context. Being 2nd place in a tightly contested title race where both teams are hitting 90+ points is one thing, it's another that our points total will more than likely be less than 80. We've been repeatedly humiliated over the past two years including drubbings from United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Madrid etc and have been uncompetitive in the CL for the last two years. So many Blues wanting to replace Pep because…we’re only second, in a cup final and in two other cup competitions.
Shows you what a draw at West Ham can do, unbelievable.
Completely agree. If he was still here in 30 years, dribbling down his chin and pissing his pants, not knowing what day it is, there'd still be people saying "Be careful what you wish for".Not having a go at you personally, but I despise the “be careful what you wish for” line.
