They'll play a similar team. Mbappe travels with the team but is likely to be on the bench.

We need luck this time. We were a bit unlucky vs Forest, Real and W Ham. If we are lucky, we can score two deflected goals and get them worried.

I remember the 2nd leg vs Liverpool in 2018 after we lost the 1st leg 3:0. We completely outplayed them in the 1st half at the Etihad and the comeback was possible, but unlucky shots and crucial refereeing decisions stopped us.
But we had a decent, talented team in those days and yes, we were robbed.

You have clearly never been poked up the arse with a toy sword...

Well isn't it just your lucky night, eh?
I've just been out cruisin' the mean streets of Miles Platting and found the little ba .. i mean little chap who did it !
He wants to know if you'd like another poke whilst he's still in the mood ?

Same, and they'll give us all joy if they pull it off, but I'm taking Pep's advice.

I'm not throwing good money after bad money, to attend the game it would cost me another £100 on top of the ticket price, and be 24 hours out of my life.
As a numbers man what I’d like us to do on Tuesday is accept that we have a negligible chance of winning the tie and decide to spare our best players an exhausting night that could seriously hamper our chances of a cup win at Wembley.

However as others have correctly pointed out, the champions mentality and culture of winning that we’ve developed over the last decade has no truck with accepting defeat in difficult situations and so anyone at City would tell me to shove my numbers up my arse.

As such, full strength team, up and at em from the start and if we go out we go out fighting.

I agree, I still won't be there though.

Rodri shouldn't start. Save him and couple others for the final

Donarumma
Nunes Khusanov Guehi Ait Nori
Nico
Cherki O Riley
Savinho Marmoush Semenyo

If John Stones is fit, he should play CB alongside Khus, he is our only CB who can pick a defense splitting pass, Cherki also has to start if we're really going to try to win by 3 or more, please don't give us hundreds of sideways passes. Madrid will defend deep and look for fast breaks, is we can get an early goal who knows?, we live in hope

The referee, nicknamed "Mr. Penalty" here in France because he awards penalties at the slightest contact.

He's the one who refereed us at the Bernabéu in December during our 2-1 victory, and he gave us a penalty. Is that a sign?

Realistically, maybe something like this:

——————Donnarumma——————-
Nunes—Khusanov—Dias—Ait Nouri
—————-Rodri—-Bernardo————-
——Cherki——Foden——-Doku———
———————Haaland——————-

Though I can‘t see us not starting Semenyo.

I‘d rather throw an extra player into the front 5.

——————-Donnarumma————-
—--Khusanov—Dias—Guehi (Ake??)
——————Stones—-Rodri————-
Cherki——-Foden——O‘Reilly—-Doku
——————-——Haaland—————-

Could be Bernardo in place of O‘Reilly to help us at least press properly. Or could be Reijnders to make a few runs beyond Haaland.

I can’t, unfortunately, see any way how we progress. Pulling back three goals, even against a Madrid side some way off their absolute best, is a huge ("massive", even) ask. Particularly as I can't see us keeping a clean sheet. What I hope we do on the night is to show the plebs who were ridiculing us last week (even the ones on here) that we're not too bad a side. A win would be great, but a performance to restore some credibility is what I want to see.

It was a pretty obvious penalty, but Turpin didn't actually give it at the time - the VAR official made him review it.
