They didn't play any better in the first leg - we were much shitter, in the main through a bizarre team selection. Do you think they planned on Courtois making 3 great saves early on this evening?

Proud of the lads tonight, it was a performance that had City’s personality all over it - quicker, sharper and less safe passing gave them problems. We need to get back to that intensity in every game.

It’s been a steep learning curve for the newer members of the squad, hopefully they have the desire and ability to go up another level.

Play like that Sunday and we will do alright.

Another positive is how Pep’s half time tactical change actually did well. Changed it quicker than usual and was effective with it.

Game was done when Haaland went off. We were getting chances until he was subbed but all attacking impetus went afterwards unfortunately.

Oh, the ref and Vinicius are cunts.

I would add that in glad Pep took Erl off though. Need to win the cup this weekend and he still looked off it energy wise.
 
Did as well as can be expected with our squad but the usual issues of just next to useless when it comes to the most important aspect of the game of scoring goals.Thats 49 shots in our last 2 games with a fluke goal and a tap in to show for it. I have no idea why our players are amongst the worst in the world for set pieces and none have that killer instinct in front of goal.
Then, mostly due to our weak midfield and Pep not playing Nico G with Rodri, we just cannot stop conceding chances and goals.
