Atmosphere Thread | 2025/26

It's gonna be rammed with Madrid fans and TikToK'ers. Good luck with the atmosphere.
Why do we have to have this perpetual Bluemoon scaremongering? I didn’t see a single Real Madrid fan in my entire stand. Plenty of foreigners and tourists and families but all supporting City. Most of the regulars were in their own seats around me.

What did the mosaic look like on the East stand?

I was side on to it in 111.

It looked a bit hit and miss.

Has any got a picture of it?
I was opposite it and couldn’t tell what it was supposed to be. No idea why the club waste time and money on that kind of nonsense. The atmosphere came from the crowd roaring and singing, not a disco light show and a load of rustling paper squares.

Need to move to where you sit, hardly any ST holders around us in 140 and loads of people standing up with their phones when Madrid were attacking yet sat down when we were on the attack, not subtle. Think we’re giving up on CL scheme after this unless we can relocate our seats for the games, I enjoy it less every season.

A disjointed waste of plastic, in all honesty.

As a witness in the Colin Bell stand opposite, i've no idea what it was meant to be.

It was shit and miss.

Never understand why this sort of thing bothers people so much. Just watch the match and back your team.

so you aren’t bothered being surrounded by away fans or people actively cheering for the away team?

I’m not saying that happened as much last night, but it’s part of English football culture, to have away fans sat separately or at minimum not celebrating in the home end.

Imagine that happening on Sunday, in a city end that should be just full of city fans.

I'm certainly not bothered by a few tourists with selfie sticks and half n half scarves. People on here make it seem like the stand has been invaded by 100's of Millwall fans on the rampage

Many regular match going Blues don’t attend CL games so tickets will be available to the tourists or whatever they are.

I've not been a CL gane for 13 years apart from a ticket my lad won at school club never asked why (i go every domestic game home and away) so they must be happy with their CL clientele

For the so called biggest club in the world their support was laughable 1 and a half tiers out of three, and they call us for empty seats.
Clear and organised.
Why don’t we put them up in the top tier with some netting in front of them … it can be used again in the next round of the FA Cup too?

Fantastic atmosphere last night.
Voice has gone this morning.
A good mix of season ticket holders and families that all played their part in trying to push the lads on.
Some great classics getting belted out,
‘We are City, Super City from Maine Road’
A performance to be proud of given the circumstances.
Play like that on Sunday, with 11 men, and we’ll win.
CTID

What was the mosaic supposed to be? Couldn't make it out from 315, although it did appear many weren't holding up the cards.

Yeah, some couldnt follow the simple instructions on the back of the cards around me.

A few phone cunts too.

Would like to see what it looked like if someone could help

Lots of new fans around me last night. All in Season Ticket seats not in the Cup scheme. Not all English but all passionate fans who sang unlike the Season Ticket holders who normally sit there. I sit in Colin Bell level 2.

They are the tourists we want, need find a balance

I’m not necessarily talking about tourists - haven’t got an issue when they are city fans. What about actual away fans or people celebrating when the away team score. Thats happened a few times near where I sit

I was pleasantly surprised in EL002. Some regulars but majority of tourists, but most of them tried to join in with the songs even though not native English speakers (two Chinese lads next to me struggled a bit with “we don’t give a fuck cos we’re all pissed up…,” ). Only saw one “Madrid fan” outed to the stewards when they scored and suspect he was more neutral than a fervent Madridista.
