At this point I’ve pretty much given up. Whatever the events forthcoming in the next few weeks, months and years as long as this man is President, I and we are powerless to stop it. Those that are — the GOP in the House and Senate — have abandoned their posts and their duties to act in the best interest of the nation and instead have chosen sycophantic fealty to an overlord. His unelected Cabinet, hand-chosen for slavish devotion, will never cross nor leave him of course.
There is nothing that could happen that would surprise me now. No catastrophe is off the table. Not one.
But I tried. We tried. Over and over and over we sounded the alarm about this man — this particular man. “TDS” they said. “Libtard” they said. “You’re overreacting” they said. “What about . . .?” they said. “Clinton/Biden/Harris would be worse” they said.
And all I can think about is this scene from one of my favo(u)rite war films “Tora Tora Tora”, about Pearl Harbor. How ironic that is. All of us who sounded the alarm are Kaminsky now.
“You wanted confirmation, Captain? Take a look. There’s your confirmation.”
God help us all.
