thought popped in my head before, see what happens, but if putin was to start ramping up his attacks on eastern european NATO countries, trump can now (in his head) turn around and say fuck off, you didn't help us with iran. and if that's the case, could the attack on iran have been for exactly that purpose? knowing europe wouldn't get involved. just random wonderings on a wednesday evening, but the logic does potentially work. putin knows his game well
