All things Jack Grealish

As far as Everton ‘in the knows’ go, this guy is very reliable. Looks like Everton will try to sign Jack, and I suspect both he and the club will be for it.

I always liked Jack and never saw any evidence that he wasn't trying his hardest on the pitch.

Also the stats don't tell the whole story - often he'd play the short ball opening things up, but because there was another pass afterwards he wouldn't be credited with an assist.

I also loved the way that he refused to be hurried along when stopping to chat with the wheelchair user during that presentation. Classy.

Slightly flashier personalities will always draw unjustified criticisms from those jealous of a twenty-something multi-millionaire getting to do on a weekly basis what most of us would pay to be able to do just once - walk down that tunnel to a packed house. That's just human nature.

Think he's well and truly done here, though.

Ha!

Let’s be honest he had one very good season and the rest mediocre mixed with a good few injuries. Seems like a decent lad and team mate but he’s done at city.

I always had a feeling of wanting him to come back to be honest. Felt he could have had a run through the middle this season.

I stand by this
You were/are spot on but just to present an argument as to why it might persuade City…isn’t he on £250,000 a week? It’ll be 13million a year off the wage bill too. I’d like to see him play for us again, I will die on the hill that I think he can do a job as a 10 for us, but if City are adamant they want him gone, £30million and the wages gone may look attractive.

They'll offer a token £5-10m fee to help cover his book value and claim the rest needs to go towards a signing on fee to offset his newly reduced wages and we'll have no wiggle room. We should fuck Everton off when they inevitably come in with an insulting low ball offer though, i'd sooner move him on to somebody else for a similar pittance than let Everton take the piss.

Don't actually blame Everton for doing it (presuming they do) it was on us to secure a cast iron sale off the back of a loan not a powderpuff option to buy that was never going to be triggered and gives us zero leverage.

He had his moment in the sun and no one can take that away from him. He could have had a much better career but there is a long line of talented people like Jack who chose their own route. I wish him well and will never forget the treble homecoming in the rain. A truly fantastic moment in Mancunian history.

Jack’s played a significant role in our club’s history, and deserves commensurate respect.

Same, KDB prevented him from ever really establishing himself at the #10, letting him go at the same time as KDB was ironic.

I don’t think my clothes have ever been as wet as that and I’ve fallen in a swimming pool fully clothed before.
