20past 7 train from warrington, straight into euston spoons for 9.15.

last train 20:31 which will be fine. can do Wembley park back to Euston sq in 40mins if leave on the whistle. even have time for a flyer on way back.
We got back to Euston at about 20:15 after the final the other week, due to the queues down Wembley way

Not surprised in the slightest with the day or ko time

However, pissed off to see the Sunday game is 1500 ko, we normally get a later ko on Sunday when we play.

Wasn’t the idea floated of running special trains for the league cup final but it didn’t gather steam ;-) due to a lack of demand ?

You always get a handful of people on these threads banging on about the late (?!) KO time being an outrage as they’ll struggle to make the last train from Euston but in reality a very very small percentage of the 30,000+ blues who’ll be there travel by train

Indeed. Train is too expensive for a lot of people.

Be on police advice that.

Yes, because there aren't any and it's expensive.

A lot more would go all the way by train if it was possible.

A lot of those 30k Blues will use a train for some of the journey even if it's only the tube or a train to a Wembley station.

Is it worth trying for Watford after the match, if the train stops there?

As has been suggested, police advice may well have played a part in the Chelsea v Leeds kickoff time but also it's worked out that both of the originally scheduled Sunday PL TV games (our visit to Burnley and Brighton v Chelsea) have now been brought forward to the previous midweek.

TNT don't have to worry about going against a live game on Sky whatever the kickoff time is so would have had no objections to an earlier slot.

Yeah i'd imagine a much larger percentage of people avail themselves of the tube or overground train to Wembley as the last part of the journey but that isn't impacted by the KO time.

I think a lot of people are put off by the prices. I was always a train man where Wembley was concerned but it got to the point where it made more sense financially to drive and / or stay over. Add to that the propensity of the railways primadonna employees to down tools at the drop of a hat and it's a no brainer to drive or take a coach or a minibus.

We should get the West side if we get to the final. Chelsea will get the east and Leeds trains usually come into Kings Cross if it's them.
Unfortunately you're applying logic. We've had the East side a few times when it made more sense to give us the West.

Use the direct train from Wembley Central to Euston (Lioness line) or Wembley Stadium Station to Marylebone. Avoid Wembley Way at all costs.
I once got the train from Wembley Central to Watford junction after a game, just gave me a bit more leeway,I don’t know if it is still possible

We should get the full ticket info today as Southampton's website reported on Thursday that:

Full ticketing information for the Manchester City meeting will be confirmed on Friday, but we can confirm that prices will range from £30-£150.

i booked my train yesterday because there are only 2 trains back to Manchester after the game, and that might even be 1 if there is extra time...
