Didn't even get past No1 on your list me old China. Funny old game this winning titles business.
I reckon your shithouses have got another few defeats in them as well, in addition to the City game. I'm going for the barcodes, West Ham and Palace to all dick you...and we'll have it wrapped up with a game to spare.
Hugs.
24 hours is a long time in football. 24 hours ago, I thought that we needed to be perfect, but with their home defeat to Bournemouth, they have lost 3 of their last 4 games in all comps. Our victory in the League Cup seems to have rattled them. If they can lose 3 in 4, it follows that they will likely drop more points.I was of the opinion that Arsenal had to lose today to give us any hope, i didn’t think them dropping points with a draw is what would let us back in.
I’m still not saying we’re going to do it, ultimately we have no insurance policy and we have to be pretty much flawless now. It’s going to be scrappy, we’re past the point of a draw equalling a loss now for Arsenal, every point matter for them now - there are simply too few games left. I think they need to lose once more not including a potential loss against us next Sunday - goal difference isn’t great for us
they’ve shit the bed no doubt, we’re going to need a massive push from Pep and the lads now. Even if we don’t do it, I want to really push them and make them earn it. They might stumble over the line but equally we might win the league - all or nothing now
Ridiculous yes….remotely possible yes. This is such a ridiculous way to look at things.
How many games have we been up a goal or 2 with 15+ minutes left and not chased another?
And you’re going to reduce things to a correctly disallowed goal?
8 games left to make up 3 goals.
Only among those too stupid to tell the difference between a soundbyte and substanceRidiculous yes….remotely possible yes.
Can you imagine the outcry though?!
This is it - even if we don't win every game, we have to continue to go into each one thinking that we must. And that we will.Today is a day to show we still have that elite mentality.
With the background context (playing Arsenal next week, one trophy in the bag, another semi final etc)…
A big team with a big mentality goes to London today and makes a statement. If we drop points we’re letting Arsenal off and I worry we’ll run out of room, allowing them to limp to becoming the worst champions in recent times.
I sort of agree. But that said, about a month or so ago it was in our hands and we let that chance slip. Ok that was maybe too early to count as the home straight, but the point im making is we still aren’t as robust as previous iterations of City.Thing is whenever any Pep team has had the title in its sights going into the second half of the season it has pressed the accelerator at the right time.
Arsenal are weaker than you think. If we beat them next weekend, we can draw today, and win the title. Previously, I thought there was no room for error but they have lost 3 in 4. We broke them at Wembley, and we can do more damage to them next weekend.Yes, but only if we win today and next sunday.
