Will we win the league this season? No

Every sensible analysis, usually with 2012 comparisons, has included the requirement for us to beat them at home, and I still believe that.
Win next week and it's a battle of nerves. Can't be arsed looking at Arsenal's fixtures but only Bournemouth away should cause concern for us even if we often struggle to get going against Everton.
We’re undefeated at the Hill Dickinson…

We’ve got good momentum but there’s a long way to go. Arsenal still favourites for me because they have the points on the board, but we can definitely do it.

Whatever happens I’m already looking forward to next season.

I know it's all "part of the banter" or whatever but that bloke with the Arsenal tears bottle... Nah.

There are six games left; it's gonna swing all over the place. Arteta just needs to stick a picture of that bloke and his little "Arsenal tears" bottle on the wall of the Arsenal dressing room next week. Some people really are desperate to be on TV, getting some of the Fanzone Danny/Big Steve coin. It's the kind of shit London fans do, or Paddy Power employees. Yes it's "just a laugh" and if we win the league he can feel free to dig it out his pocket again, but if Arsenal win it from here and their fans go after him then he deserves all he gets.

Almost every title we've won has been won by finishing 1st quietly instead of 2nd loudly. As an organisation (so players, staff, fans) we've got to practise what we preach with the "stay humble" stuff. It's exactly what we've done on the pitch for years. Mellow personalities, quality football, winners. I've not completely given up on the league at any point this season, but if Arsenal pull off a smash and grab next week then that's it 99% over and that guy with his little Arsenal bottle will get mentioned by at least one Arsenal player after the game. Why do it?

Oh, for the memes, for a laugh. Grand.

It's banter, part and parcel of football, but I agree with your sentiment here. Such banter may be premature and even harmful. Because mocking the rival in such a public manner may help them perform better. It would be considered a raggish thing if done by United fans back in Ferguson's era.

Lose next week and the huge psychological boost will give them the title.
A big win for City, by three or more goals, will have Arsenal dazed and confused even if they don't like Led Zeppelin.
It will put us on the stairway to heaven.

The pundits are right. Arsenal could beat City and then it’s over. The next match is the critical one.

And then we just have to match Arsenal point for point. Sunday is essentially a cup final.
Tarquin’s are around 4/6 to win the league at the moment, we’re 5/4, expect that to flip flop if we beat them next week.

Our players have the bit between their teeth now, forget about who we play, we’re better than every team we have to face.

The Tarquin’s are cacking it, they just don’t have the intensity we can raise our game to. I think the final death knell for them will be getting knocked out of the CL by Atletico.

Stick it in The Louvre.
Betfred have been stung more than once with this nonsense. Back in the days when when it was still called Fred Done, they paid out on the rags in 1997-98 only for Arsenal to pip them to the title and the same again in 2011-12 when we all know what happened.

It's a nice publicity stunt for the bookies. And I'm sure they hedge a decent proportion of what they're paying out anyway.

If Arteta is relying on posting a clip of a City supporter drinking out of an Arsenal bottle for motivation then they are in even more trouble than what I first thought.

The banter was great and the stir it has caused amongst arsenals supporters base has been brilliant

I agree it's premature, still a ways to go but part of Arsenal's problem is Arteta is over-emotional and creating excess pressure. Let him do that, think they'd only unravel even more.

For me, as good as it is we've been given yet another chance to win it, ( How many openings have we fluffed? ) if we don't beat them on Sunday for me that really will be it over, particularly if they win it. Of course if we do win then it could totally shatter their confidence, although there will still be a lot for us to do. We have a lot tougher set of fixtures than theirs. Brentford, Everton, Villa, Bournemouth, Palace and Burnley. Everton and Bournemouth away look especially tough as they're both bang in form. Villa are a tough nut too. Having looked at their fixtures i only see West Ham and Palace being tricky, although they usually batter West Ham. Newcastle can't buy a win atm and Fulham flatter to deceive, as we saw this weekend at Anfield. Still we've been given yet another chance to put it into our own hands and i guess that's all we can ask for. Fingers crossed we do it!
Hope they beat Sporting in a tough game, then 2 tough games against Athletico,Win next Sunday and Arse will implode, we'll win the league at a Canter.
We know how good you have to be at this time of the season to win multiple titles and Arse are nowhere near that level.

yeah a 1-0 sporting win then extra time plus penalties would be nice
