Just a reminder to ONTHERUNWITHTHAKSIN and others of the changes which will be in place on the match day buses for this Sunday’s game.
The Manchester Marathon, which takes place on Sunday, necessitates a significant number of road closures which will impact journeys to the Etihad for the match.
Booth Street West Park and Ride will also be unavailable for use. Instead, we will be offering a Park and Ride option from Belle Vue School. This will also be available for the remaining home matches this season [Brentford, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa].
We have had to alter the routes for the following match day bus services: MC1, MC2, MC5, MC6, MC9, MC9X, MC10, MC12, MC16, MC16H and MC17.
- MC1 - Will now stop at Co-op Academy Belle Vue pre and post-match.
- MC2 - Will now stop at Co-op Academy Belle Vue pre and post-match.
- MC5 - Due to road closures, we will be unable to serve Timperley and Brooklands on MC5 pre-match. MC5 will operate as normal on the journey home and stop at all the usual stops – as the road closures will have been lifted at this point.
- MC6 - Will now stop at Co-op Academy Belle Vue pre and post-match.
- MC9 - Will serve all the stops as normal, but the journey will be longer.
- MC9X - Will serve all the stops as normal, but the journey will be longer.
- MC10 - Due to road closures, we will be unable to serve Hale, Altrincham and Stretford on MC10 pre-match. MC10 will operate as normal on the journey home and stop at all the usual stops – as the road closures will have been lifted at this point.
- MC12 - For the Arsenal game, and subsequent fixtures, we will be slightly re-routing MC12 to improve efficiency. There is no impact to the stops, or to fans, but this should improve journey times.
- MC16 - Will only operate between Piccadilly Station and the Etihad.
- MC16H - Will only operate between Piccadilly Station and the Etihad.
- MC17 - MC17 has now been extended to begin in Leigh, with additional new stops in Atherton, Walkden and Swinton. MC17 will no longer stop at the A580 Park and Ride, but MC11 will continue to do so. This is in place for the Arsenal match, and the other three remaining home fixtures [Brentford, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa].
