There was also a foul early doors on Cherki (in first 3mins) where he did a backheel flick to O'Reilly which eventually led to the 1st corner. Comms said that Cherki was down holding his face. The ref had indicated an advantage so had seen the foul but if he was holding his face then play should've been stopped. There was no replay of the incident either for some reason.

The booking for Semenyo was a joke, very lenient towards them for the tackle on Rodri, horrendous challenge which should have been red in the last minute and a definite penalty not given for a foul on Doku and you think he was ok? Not my opinion.
 
We have to take the match officials out of the game or they will do us over ?
Pep teams under City have done this season after season, it's only last season and early this season that we struggle with injuries and cannot kill teams off and they were in play.

A free following City team can hurt teams and can kill the game off in a flash, This has happened in the last 4 games and the dodgy verdict by the officials doesn't control the game
 
Dermot and co,totally whitewashed the Doku penalty on Ref watch.
They agreed that it would have been difficult for the Ref to see but went on to say that you couldn't see the contact until the view from behind and slowed down was seen.
Isn't this what the VAR is paid to do?
 
Nothing wrong with the ref yesterday, gave it every chance to flow, wasn't card happy, Rodri should definitely have been booked early on for a blatant shirt pull on palmer, he choose not to book him which was a big let off for us as only 10 mins had gone and they he remained consistent with that level throughout. Semenyo took a booking for accumulation as a team.

Don't think it was a penalty personally, he slipped first which is what sends him down not the contact from Palmer. I've no doubt softer ones have been given but i'm sick of them forensically looking for any contact to justify a foul, it's a contact sport so i'm not going to complain about not getting one for that.

When I lurk on other forums, not RAWK anymore you need an account, they refer to us as those cheating bastards, or 115, when they moan about how the refs and authorities are pro us and against them. Rags in particular.

It’d be mighty swell of them if they’d just refer to us as blue shirts.

Exactly why it’s there in our eyes, but exactly why it’s there for them to manipulate results.
I thought it was a penalty in real time, slowed down, front, back, sideways etc, as Palmer made no attempt to get the ball so you would hope VAR thinks so to and at least sends the ref to the monitor otherwise what is the point.

He slipped after Palmer pushed him. Graeme Le Saux (ex Chelsea) in US TV said clear penalty and then said it gets worse the more you look at it; and he was amazed VAR dismissed it so quickly.

We scored about 2 mins later so everyone forgot about this but of the game had ended 0-0 that would have been a total outrage

I agree Kavanaugh was not bad yesterday but VAR's 1 sec clearance of the penalty shout was a disgrace

Pretty much bullshit, Palmer does not touch the ball, goes in with excessive force, and catches Doku`s foot, his standing foot. But that is not the problem, it is the double tagging that is the problem, Newcastle away, Utd, Tottenham and Forest all showed this double tagging, that has cost us 9 points and had Pep banned for speaking out. So how does it happen, the ref says he saw the incident, and has dealt with it, VAR does not contest this, unless it is for a team that they support, then the opposite happens, hence it takes forever to confirm a City goal, and Doku has been kicked to death by the ref all season, but the proper way of dealing with goal, penalties and sending offs, are for all to be viewed by VAR, if there is a problem, the ref should be sent to the monitor,. there clearly is a problem, so regardless of the ref cheating or not, VAR has, it has cheated the system.

Remember the penalty he gave Arsenal down there a few seasons ago.
An Arsenal player got his shot off but then clattered into a static Ederson.
The shot was cleared off the line, which pissed Taylor off so he brought it back for a penalty saying Ederson had committed a foul by standing still.
Think we were 0-1 up at the time and his decision stunk of him giving them an helping hand.
We went on to win the game so his decision didn't derail us but a few weeks later i saw him ref another game where a similar incident occurred and he motioned 'a coming together'.
Always stays with me that penalty down there he gave them

He will be fine. The title going to the last game week is the PL's wet dream. It's win-win for them - a "new" name or a last game comeback.

Loads of shit decisions by him in our games....that Chelsea game with Luis staying on and Fern & Kun getting reds effectively handing Chelsea the league is the main one for me but, I'll chuck in Delphs red at Wigan in the cup too.
