Sad passing of a loyal blue Eccles Blue

Is it possible to get some form of tribute to her at the game on Sunday? She would love and deserve that
This!! Come all the influencers on here... Make it happen!
The most important game of the season deserves to be dedicated to the real and genuine number one poster on Blue moon. A force who always tried to unify the forum - regardless of what the issue was!

RIP Sheila aka Eccles Blue. Condolences to all who were lucky enough to be close to her!

Imagine her buzz if city got Johnny to do a little media clip in her honour.

I found this from one of her posts. EB with her favourite player, Richard Dunne.

She loved defenders did Sheila. I think her lineage of favourite Blues went Richard Dunne, then Vincent Kompany then John Stones. I was quite surprised when she told me there had been players before John Boy. I am now sad I didn’t ask her who has before Dunney but I imagine her favourite Blues went back a long way to Skip and beyond. I used to like looking to see who she had voted when John wasn’t playing and I think it was always a defender. She was such a one off was Sheila, it’s so sad. She left one heck of a nice legacy behind her. And I love that she always stuck up for the defence xx

I saw this thread yesterday but didn't want to post straight away. I first became aware of Eccles Blue in bizarre circumstances. I'm also from Eccles and my Mum's name is Sheila. I can't remember exactly what happened but there was a misunderstanding which lead to me contacting my own mother to ask if she'd joined Bluemoon!

Then, in my favourite days on here, I started a thread about the 8th wonder of the world - The Glass Bridge in Eccles. Oh how our Sheila enjoyed that thread. She commented on it a number of times and pm'd me saying it had made her laugh so much.

She must've took a keen interest in my (and many others') posts, because when I finally met her - behind the goal at Anfield with my eldest - she was asking about my other two kids and the missus like she knew them all! What's more of a testament to the warmth of this lady was that despite this being the first time I'd laid my eyes on her, I felt like I'd known her for years as well and just naturally started telling her what my kids had been up to!

Her positivity will be sorely missed on here. We've had a few collective tellings off when things haven't been going well for John Stones and the team and have been reminded too many times to remember that "The boys in blue NEVER give in!"

RIP Eccles Blue - the Glass Bridge in the sky is said to be even more eye catching than ours!

Great post Cellarite. Never had the chance to meet EB unfortunately, but I was lucky enough to get a few inboxes from her for various things. A really nice lady was Sheila and like you, the same name as my mam so I always had a soft spot for her.

What a lovely tribute. Thanks. She's with the great blue in the sky now, and Johnny Stones will always have her watching over him.
